Facial oils are really hyped up in the beauty industry right now, for good reason. They can do amazing things for the skin on our faces, but also have many other uses.

Facial oils have really grown in popularity over the years for so many great reasons. They have gone from being something we might use here and there, to a really important part of our skincare regimen. I started using oils probably 5 years ago whenever I finally realized that oil wasn’t harming, but only helping my oil skin. My skin pretty much changed forever in the most positive ways possible. These precious oils though, they do so much more than just leave you with dewey, bright skin on your face.

10 Surprising Ways to Use Facial Oils
I’m personally a huge fan of multi use beauty products. You know what I’m talking about, right? Those ones that double as multiple things. Not only does this save money big time but it really cuts down on the amount of products that I have in me makeup bag. I’m more of a minimalist whenever it comes to makeup (though I do have quite a few of these eye shadow palettes!), but when it comes to everything else, I really cut down on the amount of products because Blake will just get into them anyways!
1. They can double as a cuticle oil. Simple rub a drop or two into your nails beds every night for super nourished cuticles everyday. If they work magic for your face, just imagine what they can do for damaged cuticles.
2. Facial oils can cure dry lips. For real. Swap them for your favorite chapstick at night and notice the difference in the morning. And hint: letting a little bit go outside of your lips will help you reduce any fine line around your mouth.
3. They will brighten your skin. Our Counter+ No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil is a daily radiance boost. This citrus-scented facial oil quickly absorbs and penetrates skin to awaken and replenish. Lightweight and silky smooth, our proprietary blend of oils is designed to help hydrate and improve the appearance of skin radiance. Omega-rich marula oil provides intense hydration, while antioxidant vitamin C helps brighten and even skin tone.

4. Facial oils work to treat damaged hair, too. Seriously. Apply them before you use hot styling tools to protect them, or apply them generously to damp hair to use as a treatment or overnight recovery mask.
5. They can be used as a light primer. We all know that oils are used last in your skincare regimen at the end of the day, however, if you use a very light amount, they can be used in place of a makeup primer earlier in the day.
6. They can balance out your skin tone. Our Counter+ No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil is lightweight and silky smooth, our proprietary blend of oils is designed to help hydrate, smooth, and even skin tone. Softening meadowfoam seed oil helps restore balance, while ylang ylang provides a delicate scent.

7. Facial oils can help treat old acne scars. If you have old acne scars to get rid of, facial oils will be your new bff for helping to diminish them.
8. Some can help treat sunburn.
9. They can help fight against the signs of aging. Our Counter+ No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil hydrates, nourishes, and visibly firms skin. Jasmine floral wax provides a subtle floral scent while Omega-rich Argan oil helps deliver essential omega acids to the skin.
