Every year, I write a goal list to get myself pumped for a new year. This is it for 2020.

Without fail, year after year, it always seems so cathartic to me to put fingers to the keyboard and write out my goals for the new year. It makes all of my hope and dreams more tangible and as if it’s something I could actually reach – not just a pipe dream swirling around in my head. I should really go back to goal lists from years past and see how I measured up, but for now I’m just going to keep chugging forward and put some new personal and business goals out into the universe again.

I want to grow my Beautycounter business. If you have followed me for a while, you guys know that in later 2019 I became a Beautycounter consultant and have been loving every second of this journey! It’s been fun to have a little side hustle/passion project where I can channel all of my clean beauty advocacy into. Right now, I would say about 20% of my time is funneled into Beautycounter and my hope is that by the end of 2020 that it has rise to at least 50% and is bringing in more steady, passive income.
Blake needs to be potty trained. I feel silly typing this one out, but we’re just not there yet, and that’s okay. She’s very clearly not ready quite yet, but is showing some signs that she is starting to get ready (like telling me immediately when she pees). We’ve been slowly trying on and off for about a year, but the last few months have really just tried not to push it and let her guide us as to when is the right time. However, she is on the waiting list for a couple different preschool/daycare programs, so we need to get a move on.

I want to run a half marathon. I’ve probably been saying this for a while now, but I’m really, really putting it out into the universe that I want to achieve it THIS YEAR. Over the summer, I really cranked up my mileage and decreased my pace, so I know that I can do it. It really all just boils down to signing up for one and putting in the time to train. If you have found yourself interested in running, but struggling to find the fun it it, check out my strategies for making running more enjoyable.
I want to increase my monthly pageviews here by 20k. Passive income should basically be my words of the year for 2020. I do feel like I’m a little burnt out of my daily grind as of lately and not sure if what I need is a break, to shift direction, or what – but my first plan of action is to increase pageviews so that I can increase my ad sales. Once this happens, I can take more time off.
I want to land a book deal. Landing a book deal is something that I’ve been working pretty tirelessly on behind the scenes here. I put it out into the universe in last year’s goal list and that’s when I really started to finally work towards this big goal. I’m not going to say what it’s about, but there is a lot happening and I’m hoping that if all goes according to plan, you will see something published with my name on the front very soon!
