To me, the new year always means new chances, new beginnings, and more opportunities to live my best life. Here are a few ways I refresh in the new year.
This is a sponsored post. Thanks for supporting Project Motherhood!
If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that I always (every single January!) write a post about reflection, goal setting, and tips for living your best life in the new year. (Here is my post from last year.) Goal setting is hella important to me in all areas of my life and it’s really important to me to use this platform as a way to help you all achieve your biggest dreams, too.
Yes, we are moms and our lives revolve around our kids and family, but it’s okay to step away and work towards things that are important to you on a personal level, too. I don’t want any of you to ever lose sight of that.
4 Ways to Refresh in the New Year
Refreshing or making changes to have a wonderful 2023 doesn’t need to be a huge, complicated thing. It can be simple as long as you are committed. Here are some easy ways that I am refreshing this new year and hope that it inspires you to do the same!
1. Focus on what YOU want, seriously.
I can’t stress this enough: if you are in a constant cycle of living your life for everyone else, you will always walk around with a scowl on your face. You have to think about one or a few goals, no matter how big or small, that are just for you and work towards them. Then, set a few achievable ways for you to work towards what you want each week. The benefits are amazing!
2. Listen to your body.
There is NO better way to refresh in the new year than taking a little survey of what your body needs….and LISTEN TO IT! You know that for me, that often circles back to gut health and how the amazing Probiotics and pH Balanced Alkaline Silver Solution from Ameo Life.
No matter what health goals I have, it all comes back to my gut. I don’t have the energy to cook healthy meals or weight lift 4 times per week if I am not taking care of my gut and Ameo Life has these two incredible products that work hand in hand to help me achieve that.
3. Get organized!
I know that spring cleaning is much talked about, but personally, I always feel more rejuvenated if I get organized at the very beginning of the year. The second time I always do this is right before the kids go back to school in August/September. When I refresh my space, donate unused items taking up space, and clear out clutter, it helps me make space in my life for what I want to focus on. And you know what? That focus shifts year to year – roll with the punches, mama!
4. Set new rules and create boundaries.
This can apply to your children, household, or just for yourself. At the end of the day, we all need to be held accountable, and establishing ground rules are setting boundaries in different areas of our life is a fantastic way to accomplish that.
