We all live such busy lives that getting to the doctor for unexpected sick visits, flu shots, or having the opportunity to just ask basic questions to your doctor can sometimes seem impossible to pencil in. Add to the mix living in New York City and having to get your family bundled up and on the train to make it to an appointment and possibly missing school – it’s enough to make your head spin. So my latest obsession that I’m over the moon excited to share with you all is Pager – a newly launched, up-and-coming health-tech start-up that is reinventing the traditional doctor house call with a location-based mobile marketplace currently serving San Francisco and the 5 boroughs of New York City. I have used the Pager App twice now since first being introduced to it a month ago, and I am hooked!
I personally used Pager to do one their Health Checks, which brought a Nurse Practitioner to my home to run some simple tests that showed if I was in good health. It was a great experience because she was available to text me through the app in advance, so I knew what to expect and could ask as many questions as needed, and all test results were available literally 5 minutes after they were run – talk about added convenience!
Then, I used them this week to get B checked for a possible ear infection. Here are some of the awesome services that they offer:
Health Check: a simple assessment of your health and wellness that includes key numbers such as blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose. (This does not include Family Planning.)
Physical: Physical exams and tests required for camp, school and employment.
Urgent care visit: Evaluation and diagnosis for common infections and illnesses, with prescriptions when medically needed. Treatment for minor skin conditions, including rashes, fungus, burns and more. First aid care for minor injuries, including sprains and wounds requiring suturing. Urgent care treating illnesses and injuries for children 6 months and older.
Flu Shot
The doctors/practitioners come super prepared with everything possibly needed for your visit!
I really can’t stress how much the Pager App has helped me save time finding a great doctor with instant access, relieved us of waiting in crowded waiting rooms, and alleviated unnecessary stress in my life. Pager will come anywhere you are: home, office, hotel, as it immediately prompts you to enter your address for each visit. Since emergencies can occur at any time, especially when you have littles, it truly is a remarkable tool to have right in the palm of your hand!

I’m so excited to share a special code with you all today that allows you to try out Pager one time for free (They accept insurance, too!). Simply download the App from iTunes, and use code projectmotherhood during setup.
I hope that you all love Pager as much as I do!
Fashionably Yours,
Allison

This app and service would definitely come in handy with kids. Dragging my littles to the ER or doctor when one is sick is such a pain.

I love the thought of bringing back the traditional doctor house call via a helpful app. I don’t think anyone likes to sit in a crowded doctor’s office waiting to be seen, especially if they are feeling ill.

I hadn’t heard of this service before. I love the idea of the convenience of an app being blended with a house call.
