As this baby bump is getting bigger each week, I’ve had other things on my mind lately other than maternity clothes, but finding a diaper bag that is conducive to our city life. since I plan on baby wearing as much as possible, especially whenever subway steps are involved, I knew that I wanted a backpack that could double as our diaper bag. Then, I found my favorite skip hop diaper bag: the Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown Diaper Backpack and fell in love!

I remember whenever I was prepping for Baby Branden and I had so much stuff that needed to be shoved into the over-sized diaper bag that I actually carried with me everywhere – now I know better! This time around, I’m all about the essentials that we will need and being minimalistic – I’m even planning on throwing my wallet into these Skip Hop backpacks and going on my merry way, no need to bring more bags with me.

This Skip Hop Diaper Bag is just the right size to hold everything I need, plus pockets for things like bottles and diaper cream, and a changing pad, too! The expandable drawstring opening makes it super easy to access everything (even if you might be doing it one handed!) and is hangs on your stroller with ease. Seriously a must for all of your registries!

My favorite dress to wear with Skiphop Backpacks

So let’s talk about this dress for a second…I’m obsessed! It is technically a nursing dress, so this will take me well beyond pregnancy and is oh so comfy for your growing pregnant body. It’s from one of my favorites, Boob, (shop a similar style HERE), and comes in lots of different colors. I personally love the basic black and it dresses up really great for evening – just throw on your favorite pair of big earrings and go! And not to mention, it looks great with Skip Hop Backpacks.

Here is a close-up of the Skip Hop Diaper Bag and yes, I am using it pre-baby, too! Backpacks are so trendy right now and I think this is something that’s going to stick – they are MUCH easier than any handbag that I have ever carried. I love the zippered compartments all the storage options! It can easily be styled to dress up or dress down, and definitely looks great with a denim jacket!

And in typical New York City street style fashion, I wanted to throw in these last couple of pictures, yellow cab and pedestrian in my way and all! I have to say that this outfit truly does serve as a good reminder for myself how easy it is to really pull together a chic outfit with no effort at all. I mean, I’m not even wearing any accessories besides my sunnies! Don’t be afraid of horizontal stripes as you are choosing some new summer pieces, they will make your wardrobe more fun!
