It’s the first Monday in April and if you’re like me – Easter is on your mind. After all, it’s a fresh, fun time of year where we can finally get outside more regularly and start seeing Mr. Sun again. It’s one of the most lovely times of the year, if you ask me. And with the same breath, if you’re like most mamas out there, you have the kids outfits picked out and baskets ready to fill and have completely overlooked yourself. So today, I’m sharing some fresh ways to make Easter style for moms just as fun.
Easter Style For Moms
Here’s the thing: I’m all about non-traditional style for holidays and events, because they need to be pieces that are going to work for you and your wardrobe. I think that bright pinks and stripes are great for the kids and make for memorable pictures, but when it comes to us, we want pieces that truly resemble our style and aren’t anywhere near cutesy. Translation: I think Easter style for moms should be pieces that you can integrate intro your wardrobe and wear over and over again.
This super cute Carolina Dress from Cooper & Ella is going to be a longtime favorite of mine. I love it because it’s completely effortless, comfortable and will look amazing on every different body shape out there. One of the biggest tips of mine for busy moms who have kids pulling at them all day is to choose a dress like this one because it’s printed allover and has some slight ruffles for embellishment – meaning that you don’t need to worry too much about adding accessories or heels or any of that, just pull it on and go!
If it’s chilly, you can always add a denim jacket and some sunnies like I did, or for a pattern on pattern style that will totally work – add my favorite camo jacket! (linked below) And as I hinted before on Facebook, I’ve been sporting some fun halo hair extensions lately and a braided headband, which I linked below, too.
Outfit choice is pretty much everything. If I’m wearing an outfit that I feel good in, am comfortable chasing littles in without having to constantly readjust, I glow and am able to be confident. If not, well…my day can be kinda crappy. So, this Easter, you’ll find my at brunch with my crew wearing my favorite Cooper & Ella Carolina Dress. If by any chance you’re still trying to find Easter style for your kiddos, I have a great Carter’s/Oshkosh coupon here for some MAJOR discounts!
And lastly, if you missed last week’s #momstylemonday, catch my casual style for moms here, for day to day wear when brunching isn’t involved!
Fashionably Your,
