I’m Going There: The Light Bladder Leakage Solution All Moms Need Handy
When I became a new mom almost 10 (gasp!) years ago, there were so many parts of my postpartum experience that I simply had no clue about. In all honesty, I don’t think that doctors really do the best job of filling us in on all these exciting (insert eye roll) little tidbits that we have to look forward to when bringing a baby home for the first time. I will always, ALWAYS be that person who will tell it like it is. Today, I’m going THERE for some real mom talk, discussing the joys of LBL, how it impacts my life and what I’m doing to conquer it every single day.
The Truth About “LBL”
If you’ve never heard the term “LBL,” it stands for “light bladder leakage.” It’s something that happens to women both as they age and/or after they have kids. It can be triggered by different things for all of us (laughing, working out or, running for a cab) – or you can be lucky like my own mom who brags that she’s never experienced it, even after having four children. Most women self-diagnose LBL because it’s not one of the easiest things to have a conversation about. Because of this, many women turn to a regular period pad for help, but that’s not what you actually need. Its super common, nothing to be embarrassed about, and thanks to the new Stayfree Ultra Thin Pads with All-In-One protection, with multi-fluid absorption, specifically designed for leaks, moisture and periods – there is an easy solution.
My LBL moments started after I had Blake, especially during high-intensity workouts. These workouts, have a ton of jumping involved (hellooo criss cross jacks) and while it doesn’t happen with every single exercise, by the time I complete the third round of my favorite video, it starts to happen. It really holds me back. Seriously, there was a period of time where I spent so much time focused on holding everything in that I was doing really half-hearted workouts. No one has time for that BS, right?
My LBL Solution
Knowing something needed to change, I’ve been very happy with being introduced to the brand new,Stayfree Ultra Thin Pads with All-In-One protection, as my LBL godsend. Why are these pads so awesome? Each pad locks in fluid fast, providing exceptional dryness and some serious comfort. They also neutralize odor and lasts up to 8 hours – which is incredible to me! This new, all-in-one technology aims to celebrate all of our real mom life moments: the good, the messy, and the ones where you laugh so hard that you pee your pants.
This LBL product is available in the same aisle as your regular feminine care products. No need to add any extra steps to your already lengthy to-do list when errand running!

I can’t recommend using Stayfree Ultra Thin Pads with All-In-One protection, enough. When dealing with my LBL, it’s been a game changer in my everyday life because it’s discreet and an incredibly simple solution that’s easy to incorporate into my busy life. Like all of you, I just don’t have the time to allow things like LBL hold me back and stop me from moving forward with my life each day, so I count on having these pads by my side. Whether they are in my diaper bag or tucked into each crevice of our stroller, they always keep me prepared.
XOXO,
Allison

Oh boy yes. This is such an embarrassing thing that happens all too often. It’s especially worse just as I am about to get my period. I really need to give these a try!

It’s awful! The worst for me when I’m working out – I really do love these as my everyday secret (or not so secret lol) helper!

I never knew this was a named thing but it happens to a lot of us. I am glad that these pads seem so discreet and still do a great job with leakage.

I don’t have kids and I experienced something similar to this when I was jumping on a trampoline. I’m 27. So I did research and have been doing exercise known to strengthen the bladder walls.
Lisa Joy Thompson says
This is such a great solution! I don’t have this issue (I adopted all of my kids) but have a friend who has always refused to take trampoline exercise classes with me for this very reason!!!

I find it funny that everyone experiences it, but nobody will talk about it. I still remember my first time at the gym after I had my son. I was not prepared and sooo embarrassed.

So many people don’t talk about this topic so I am glad to see it being put out there. Babies change our bodies and these are the things we need to share so future moms are aware and don’t feel ashamed if it happens to them.
Dawn Lopez says
I’m so glad there are products like this to help with LBL. I know I don’t want to stop any activities I like to do for an issue like this!

Working out is the worst!!! So embarrassing!!!

After I had my third child I had some bladder issues for like a month later. I am so thankful to have straightened it since but thank goodness for pads.
