We recently spent a fun day at the docks kayaking with family and ending the summer with a little bit of adventure. It’s was great for our hearts and our bodies!

A Day At The Docks
It’s so rare that we get my brothers and sisters together with all the kids. For years, this honestly pretty much just happened around the holidays since both my family and my sister Natalie’s family both live out of town. But now that I’m here with the kids temporarily, we’re relishing in these fun moments when the kids get to get together will their cousins, Aunts, and Uncle – it’s just so good for the soul! A couple weeks ago, we spent a day at the docks on a very random weekday that just happened to work out for everyone and Branden got to go kayaking with my mom, my sister, and his cousin Lily for the very first time.
I, of course, jumped in for a picture but spent the time they were on the water chasing Blake around the toddler park with my sister, nephew, and cousin. While everyone was rowing away, we got a workout of our own kind called “gossip and chasing after toddlers.” We were almost as sweaty as out kayaking family members.
Though, I will add that my mom was paired with Lily (whose 5) and was ready to be back with her mommy whenever they were a good mile from the docks. Needless to say, my mom who was her kayaking buddy got the arm workout of a lifetime.
And of course, our favorite, Crispy Green, came with us! If you have been following along, I’m singing the praises of Crispy Green products as well as some tips I’ve learned along the way as a mom for making healthy choices in life. They are honestly my secret weapon as a mom of two children who both have very different likes and dislikes when it comes to food. Blake will eat everything (almost), while Branden is much pickier. Crispy Green freeze-dried fruit has no sugar added, is NON-GMO, convenient and fuels all of our adventures.
My niece Lily chowed down on the Pineapple and we brought enough for everyone else to enjoy, too. I’ve talked a lot on my Facebook Live series that I’ve been doing in partnership with Crispy Green this month about how I always, always buy these in bulk (you can order through Amazon!) to have handy for sharing moments and this was the perfect example of just that.
