This post is brought to you by The Huntington National Bank and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
I talk a lot about being fit and living a healthy lifestyle here on the blog, which is typically broken down into nutrition, fitness, and mental health. However, I don’t talk a ton about financial health, which is just as important as these other components and to me, completely falls into the mental health umbrella because whenever I’m worrying about our financial health it directly impacts my mental health. Moving in June and becoming new home owners has brought on so many new financial responsibilities and to be completely honest – we’re still adjusting to all those things. I know that it’s not going to happen overnight, but Huntington Bank is helping us to stay on track with their amazing features that I have never experienced at any other bank before!

What are these wonderful features?
Seriously, these are awesome, life-changing (yes, you’ll see why!) features that make Huntington Bank stand out in ways where other banks are still left behind. I first started using Huntington Bank when I was in college. My mom got me all set up in my dorm at Kent State University, got my bank account set up, gave me a $100 check to deposit and it was my first real taste of independence. As an adult, it makes me so happy that Huntington has adapted with the times and implemented 3 key tools to help us stay on track with our financial health.
1. Savings Goal Getter SM
You guys know how obsessed I am with setting and reaching goals. The Huntington Savings Goal Getter tool is a huge part of that for me. This nifty tool not only allows you to set up ways to save automatically (ex. transfers) but will help you create goals for things that you are saving for and send you progress reports each week. There is just something about seeing what you are working towards come to fruition right before your eyes and that’s exactly what this is all about!
- Spend SetterSM
This tool gives you the ability to set spending limits for yourself, which I think is something we can all benefit from. The tool will help create a personalized budget for you based on your previous spending habits and you can also create budgets in minutes for yourself for anything that you need to, having the ability to always edit or delete. Spend Setter is a seriously easy way to help reach your financial goals.
- Huntington Heads Up®.
The Huntington Heads Up feature works hand-in-hand with Spend Setter, sending you a heads up alert (message and data rates may apply) whenever you may have gone over a set budget, or are getting close or are right on track. Having this knowledge right at your fingertips gives you the ability to know if you might need to adjust your budget the next month because you overspent, or you underspent and can put some extra in savings.
Overall, I just adore how flexible these features are. Every day is not the same and we all know that there are always things that arise that we may not have been able to plan for. Huntington Bank can help you stay in power of your daily spending and overall finances so that you and your family are always in control.
