We recently celebrated Blake turning 4 years old with quite a big birthday weekend.
We just cannot believe that our baby has turned 4! Where has the time gone? This fierce, sassy, kind, smart, beautiful little girl brings so much joy to our lives, and to celebrate the fact that she is 4 fingers old, we did it big and I can’t wait to share all the details with you all.

Blake turned 4 on Friday, August 21st and because Branden was away in Columbus spending the week with his cousin, Chris and I got to have some one-on-one time with our little birthday girl. On the day of her birthday, she woke up to a few family gifts and we took her out to lunch and to a local farm to pick sunflowers. I think that the below picture is my new favorite one ever of Chris and Blake.

Then Friday night, sweet friends of ours from NYC arrived to spend the weekend with us and attend Blakes gymnastics birthday the following day. We gathered together about 15 kids and 20ish adults and the kids got to do a gymnastics class, open presents, eat lots of sugar and pizza and then everyone ended up back at our house for the after birthday party.
Yup..I told you it was the celebration that just kept going!
Some notable things about Blake:
- Her favorite color is pink.
- Her favorite food is chicken nuggets and pepperoni.
- Her favorite things to do are gymnastics, ride her bike, jump on the trampoline, play at the park, play with friends, and cuddle with Oliver.
- Her favorite tv show is Chip and Potato.
- Her favorite movie is Coco.
- She loves her big brother to death, but they fight like cats and dogs.
- She is starting preschool this year for the first time.
- She is super independent and has to do everything all by herself.
- Fashion is one of her favorite things and not only does she love to shop with mommy, but she changes her clothes about 3 times per day.
- She has so many friends and is our little social butterfly.
- She has to know what we are doing all day, every day and is always asking “what’s next?” – this is why we call her Busy Blake!
