The holiday season can be tough if you’re on the keto diet. But, you will have no trouble navigating through with these epic keto diet ideas!

I’m not gonna lie: in the past the holidays made me kinda nervous when it came to choosing the “right” foods. Every activity seems to be so food-centric that it can be incredibly difficult to navigate, especially if you are on the keto diet and not everyone quite understands.
Now, I’m all for balance in life, so to me that does mean indulging a bit, especially around the holidays. However, over the years, I’ve learned a thing or two about the best keto diet ideas for surviving the holidays as guilt-free as possible. And of course, one of my biggest takeaways is having my beloved Keto Chow handy!

Keto Diet Ideas For Surviving The Holidays
Whether you plan on keeping a strict keto diet throughout the whole holiday season (I bow to you!) or plan on taking things day by day and keeping these keto diet ideas handy for making the best choices for yourself, these are some great tips that I honestly live by all year through.
1. Keto Chow, Keto Chow, Keto Chow.
(I’m singing this to the tune of Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice – because I call out for Keto Chow when I need help!)
If you haven’t tried Keto Chow yet, all I have to say is that you are missing out. While it is a meal replacement shake, making sticking with the keto diet uber easy, it is also incredibly versatile and can be used in so many wonderful recipes.
2. Keep sparkling water handy.
Sparkling water is one of my go-to’s every single day. I used to hate carbonated drinks, but now I’m obsessed. The bubbles have a way of filling you up (just make sure you get the kind without aspartame in it) and if you are headed somewhere that alcohol is being served, it’s a great guilt-free mixed for your clear liquors.
3. Bring something with you.
Whether you are hosting or attending a small, socially distanced gathering, make sure that you have keto-friendly options available to you. This might mean that you have to bring your own, and that’s totally fine. Two of my holiday season favorites are no bake, keto pumpkin pie OR making basic keto chaffles using Keto Chow so you have an option that mimics bread.
4. Eat before you get there.
I know everyone always shares this one, but it’s so true: eating a keto-friendly meal before you get to where you know there won’t be options for you to eat is the only foolproof way to navigate through the holiday season. Knowing that you have already eaten your meal in advance will allow you to stay balanced while you’re out at a holiday gathering.
5. Offer to host.
Believe me, I know that hosting is a huge undertaking. However, if you are truly looking for keto diet ideas to stay on track, being in your own home will put you in control of the menu, the drinks – everything.
6. Focus on non-food activities.
Like I said, I know that everything is so food-centric over the holidays, but if you can plan things that don’t revolve around it, that’s the best way to go. Instead of drinks and appetizers with your girlfriends, attend a paint and sip workshop, for instance. This year, instead of attending a big breakfast with Santa, Blake and I are going to tea with Santa. Just a few suggestions to make your life easier!
7. Keep your meals simple.
We all know that the more complex the more ingredients that are involved and the less-healthy the meal becomes. Just keep your meals as basic and simple as possible. Simple means easy!
