After the holiday decor came down, I began searching for easy mantel decorating ideas I can do on my own. Sharing my design with you all today!

We have been in our “new” house now for almost three years, and there is still so much decorating and updates I feel like I need to do. My mom says that I will always feel that way and she’s probably right. Just like we all love to update our wardrobes, it’s fun to give our homes a little upgrade, too.

As I shared last week, I had Covid, so I guess you could call this my little ‘covid project” because it was one of the only things I feel like I accomplished over the past couple of weeks. I wanted a simple, fresh look so I started searching for mantel deocorating ideas for inspiration and narrowed down a few ideas to create a look I wanted.

Here is the before of our mantel, loooking very said and empty since I took down our Christmas decor. We have a large mantel, so I knew I needed something that would look great, while spread accross the large space.

What you need to create this mantel decoorating idea:

Books (I had a huge library in our old apartment and now everything is in boxes in our basement. If you don’t collect books like me, I recommend checking out your local used book store for some goodies.)
Artifical Eucalyptus Stems
While Pillar Candles
Tall Ceramic Vase
Shorter Ceramic Vases

As you can see in the photo above, the mixture of whites with the fresh greenery is just perfect for your mantel during the months where we don’t have holiday decor all over our homes.
