A Whole Hand Old

Our sweet, spunky, sassy, beautiful Blake turned 5 this past weekend. Sharing the recap today!

One whole hand old. This mama can’t believe it and might still be crying. In the months leading up to her birthday, we had to look at the calendar each day and count the days between then and her special day. To say that she was excited was an understatement. 

To keep with the tradtion I started probably around the time Blake was born, I’m writing a yearly birthday post as a way to remember all these little things about our kiddos that are fresh in my mind around their birthdays. If you want to see Blake’s post from last year, you can find that here. 

Some facts about Blake as she turns 5:

• She will be starting pre-K this year, and loved her pre-4 class last year. School is truly her jam!
• Jojo Siwa is currently her favorite singer.
• She would watch Youtube over everything else on the tv, but when she does, she’s a big fan of Bluey and Disney movies. 
• For lunch almost every single day, she eat chicken nuggets, pickles and olives. 
• Some of her other favorite foods: pizza, corn on the cob, salmon, mandarin oranges, sliced grapefruits, veggie straws, and french fries.

• Barbie’s were her big toy request this year and loves to give them baths and bring them into the hot tub or bath tub with her. 
• She got a ride-on kid’s white Mercedez SUV from Chris and I for her birthday and is over the moon excited.
• Gymnastics is still her favorite activity and we continue to do it year-round. Her goal is to join the team when she gets a little bit older a and win a big trophy! 
• Her and Branden struggle to get along these days, and it’s often better to just keep them apart. (#realmomlife)
• Blake begged me to take her to the salon for part of her birthday present to have her hair straightened and she cried for 3 full hours whole it was being done and decided that she’s never going back. 

• Blake is proving to be very type-A like me, very confident, and loves to do everything herself. 
• She is our social butterfly and if she could be on the go, playing with friends every second of everyday, she totally would!
• Her favorite colors this year are pink and purple and she is still very into fashion.
