Beauty in Motion: Yoga Wear as a Fashion Statement!

Do you want clothes that are cute, comfortable, casual, and conducive to a busy life?  Then check out yoga wear as a fashion statement … Mama Style that’s pure, easy, and great looking!

Let’s just put this out there:  I’m totally obsessed with yoga wear!

But, I don’t do yoga all that often. Yes, I stretch and do a yoga-like exercise program given to me by my trainer. And I often walk for exercise.  Sometimes I even do a few weights at the gym before or after my regular aquatics class. But, honestly, my wearing of yoga attire goes way beyond yoga or even “working out”.

Three reasons I think of yoga wear as a fashion statement: 

• Because it fits! 
• Because it is comfortable!
• Because it is ATTRACTIVE!

My obsession with yoga wear as a fashion statement has only INCREASED once I discovered the emerging designer Ada Hung, the Founder of Balini Sportswear.  Her passion for quality fabric, fit, and design in her gorgeous line of yoga sportswear has become mine! As Ada says about her company, “Delivering happiness through beauty is our goal.” Her determination, added to her extensive business experience, have truly given her new endeavor in producing quality yet affordable yoga wear an incredible edge.

I knew these clothes were something special as soon as I touched them. The fabric literally feels like the softest and lightest of velvets, not to mention its breathability and absorbent quality. I wondered about the sizing at first, but once I put each item on my body, the fit was impeccable and perfectly designed for movement. Clearly, every detail of a woman’s body has been considered in the design and production of these beautiful clothes.

Once I realized how great these pieces looked, I called my friend Kevin Fisher at Fisher Fotos so I could share with you how fashionable I look and feel in my Balini’s!

First there’s the Yogini Slim Capris in Stardust Purple. As soon I slipped them on, I felt instantly supported yet not constricted.  The waistband and the seaming and the overall cut are gorgeous and flattering, and the purple shade is so fresh and spring-like and totally ON TREND.

 

 

And how to resist the Megan Mesh Tank in Royal Purple?!  There is EVERYTHING flattering about this top. With a built in bra, beautiful style, and ease of wear, well, I feel ready for everything, not just exercise.

Throw on a cardigan and different accessories, and you instantly have achieved yoga wear as fashion statement! Garden market anyone?

 

 

Finally, there is the sports bra issue…and whether or not we feel comfortable going out wearing one! Well, the pic below will tell the whole story about that, since it shows me heading out for a session with my personal trainer, wearing the most comfortable and lovely sports bra EVER…Balini’s Miranda Bra in Black. (And NO MUFFIN TOP either, btw, thanks to those Yoginis!)
