I had some time last week to myself, which is rare – and I completely embraced it. Even just running into Rite Aid alone for a few minutes gives me a breath of fresh air where I can make a shopping decision without being asked a million questions or being begged to buy something we totally don’t need. So I thought it was only appropriate to cover these moments as part of my #momstylemonday and dig into the casual moms style: what to wear when you’re running errands.
Why Indigenous Is The Perfect Casual Moms Style
When I want to capture that casual moms style, I turn to one of my favorites, Indigenous (read more about them here) because their clothing is comfortable, breathable, organic and always super comfortable – but always have details that help show off my style. Basically, you will never look like a frumpy mommy when wearing anything from their super cool collection.
I’m wearing their Luxe Capri in charcoal and Everyday Pullover which are seriously some of the most comfortable pieces that I own. (You may remember this Reversible Hooded Cardigan from my spring photo shoot with them and I still wear it all the time – perfect for bus stop runs and transitioning from season to season as a layering piece.)

And let’s be honest here: these are the pieces that become the workhorses in your casual moms style wardrobe, right? Yes! They are what we turn to again and again when we’re chasing after kiddos and going throughout our day – and sometimes even out on date night. These are the pieces that we want to dish out a little extra money on because we are washing and re-wearing like crazy, and we want them to last. I’ve had Indigenous pieces hanging in my wardrobe for years and they still look like new.
Fashionably Yours,
Allison
