Family time is the best time and if you’re looking for a great getaway, Deep Creek, Maryland is a seriously magical place to visit!
Our Deep Creek, Maryland Memorial Day Adventure
If you guys followed along on Instagram and Facebook this past weekend, you saw that we managed to get the whole family together for a fun-filled adventure to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. It’s so rare that we all get together without the rush of Christmas festivities and could literally just chill, enjoy ourselves and let the kids get dirty. We chose Deep Creek Maryland and have seriously fallen in love with the quaint place that was perfect for all ages and honestly worth making is a yearly thing.

We rented a house and each couple was in charge of a dinner each of the three nights that we spent and it was such a stress-free environment for all of us. Branden and my nephew Shane play duel survival, fished and jumped off the docks and we barely even saw them the entire trip – they were in their own “big-boy” world.
The three little ones: Blake, 21 months, Lily, age 5 and Connor, age 2 all grouped together and spent most of their time at the shallow end of our private dock, splashing in the water and blowing bubbles.
Our second day there, we rented a boat for a majority of the day and it was so awesome to have the private dock that we could use to let people on and off at our house. We were able to wrangle nap times and have fun at the same time. Chris was pretty excited to get his temporary boat drivers license!
On the morning of the third day, us girls (minus Blake) took a hike to see all the beautiful waterfalls that Maryland has to offer and even got to take some photos standing and overlooking it. You all know I yearned to add a little adventure to my life this year, so I’d say this moment definitely counts!
On the last day, we even got some super rare pictures in: one sibling one and with me and Chris!
