I can’t believe that this week marks 24 weeks during this pregnancy and I am a little over half way there! Craziness! The feelings of nesting are really overcoming me every single day and I have turned into a complete organizing fanantic. But most of all, my concern whenever finding out we were expecting our little one in August was finding clothing that worked during those torturous summer months in the city. Thankfully, my friends over at Destination Maternity have helped me out with some super cool Destination Maternity style and I can’t wait to share with you all! (Especially if you’re expecting, too!)
First things first, my little 24 week bumpdate:
Cravings – I wouldn’t say there has been anything really specific, it’s been more of a “when the mood strikes me I gotta have it” situation.
Mood – I have highs and lows for sure (just ask my husband). I will say that I do get irritable really quickly.
Baby update – This little mini Cooper is incredibly active and has been for weeks, always, always moving. We just finished all of our genetic testing a couple of weeks ago and everything it looking perfect. Next appointment will bring along the lovely gestational diabetes test – so not looking forward to that! We DO know the gender and I will be sharing with you all later on this week!

(I seriously can’t stress enough how precious it’s been having these maternity pictures this time around since we didn’t do it with Branden. If you live in the NYC area and are currently expecting, book a shoot with her and you won’t regret it!)
My Destination Maternity style here consists of my absolute favorite A Pea in The Pod Dark Wash Maternity Short and their Daniel Rainn Convertible Sleeve Button Detail Maternity Blouse.
The blouse has been an amazing maternity wardrobe essential as we have transitioned from cold to warmer weather because we have had some awfully weird weather days in the city and it’s been so nice to have a dressier piece to wear either these denim shorts or skinny jeans. These shorts on the other hand are definitely a go-to because they are SO comfortable and I can switch up the top to dress up or down. I predict that you will be seeing a lot more of these over the upcoming summer months!

Whenever it comes to maternity, I highly suggest having a few great, more expensive items and some cheaper “filler items” so that you don’t get sick of your maternity wardrobe (some great ideas below!). I also tried to think ahead because I’m delivering in August and I know that it’s going to be both hot and a little bit of time before I fit into any pre-pregnancy clothing. So, I will be showing my Destination Maternity style for a while and definitely wearing this blouse again as we go from summer to fall and the shorts throughout August and September, too. They are truly a winning combo!
