Diagnosing ADHD in children doesn’t have to be as complicated as it might sound. ADHD Online offers a $149 formal evaluation from the comfort of your home.

Last week, I shared my big ADHD back to school guide filled with great tips for both in-person and virtual learners in partnership with my friends at ADHD Online.
I feel like I teased you all about their awesomeness, but didn’t go into too much detail because it was really important to their team and I that we get the back to school information in your hands as quickly as possible. So today, I’m going in deep to share how truly incredible (and EASY!) ADHD Online makes diagnosing ADHD in children and adults.

First and foremost, if you have read our story about Branden’s ADHD diagnoses, you know that it was a long one. I often look back and feel guilt because it probably should have been diagnosed a few years before it actually was, which made school back in New York City even more difficult for him. I wish that ADHD Online was around back then, but I’m so excited that parents can now feel the relief that I felt when Branden was diagnosed so much quicker and easier. It’s a game-changer!
Diagnosing ADHD In Children
The process of diagnosing ADHD in children can take 6 months or more and cost $2,500 just to be evaluated. Not everyone has that time or money, especially in today’s climate. However, in order to have formal treatment or medication for the treatment of ADHD, you need this formal diagnosis of ADHD by a licensed psychologist.
This is where ADHD Online comes in to make the process of diagnosing ADHD in children as seamless and cost-effective for parents as possible, with only a one-time fee of $149.
Yup, you read that correctly.
Founded in 2017, their Board of Directors sat down with a group of psychologists, physicians, mental health experts, healthcare attorneys, HIPAA consultants, and network security experts over a period of 18 months and created a solution to help individuals get a certified ADHD assessment faster than traditional methods.
How does ADHD Online work?
My short answer to this is: easily!
But the more in-depth answer is that they conduct an a-synchronous visit that starts with an intelligent computerized and bank level encrypted ADHD assessment. As you work your way through the assessment, it learns which questions to ask and how to ask them, based on the answers you provide. Bonus: you can start and stop for as long as it takes you to get through it.
Once the assessment is done, they will assign you a doctorate-level psychologist, licensed in your state, to complete the assessment to either certify or exclude a diagnosis of ADHD. You will then be emailed or mailed a full copy of your certified assessment results that you can keep private, share with your provider, and/or share with a school nationwide.
How wonderful is that? Especially for a child who would otherwise have issues sitting still for testing, getting to do this in the comfort of their own home makes the ADHD Online team rockstars who totally get it, in my eyes.
