DIY Beard Oil Recipe For Your Man
I feel like it’s been a couple of years now that Chris has rocked a beard and without fail, every time he has to shave it for his monthly Army Reserves weekend, everyone realizes how attached to the beard we are at this point. Anyone else? Last Christmas I started exploring beard oil because I knew there were different grooming measures for beards. We tested out both a beard oil and a beard waxy salve option and Chris really liked the outcome of the oil. After I started getting into essential oils, I knew that I could start making this all on my own, so here I am today with a super easy beard oil recipe for your man! And P.S. if you have any restless sleepers in your home, here’s my favorite essential oil sleep blend recipes.

What are the benefits of using a beard oil?
Beard oil is extremely moisturizing and will help to promote healthy hair growth as well as keeping your man’s beard shiny and strong. Not only will it moisturize the facial hair, but also the skin beneath it and can act as a styling agent, too!
The Best (And Easiest) Beard Oil Recipe
This beard oil recipe seriously took me under 5 minutes to put together, smells amazing and will last a very long time.
What you need to make this beard oil:
- 2-3 drops of tea tree oil
- 2-3 drops of cedarwood oil
- 4-5 drops of lavender
- sweet almond oil
- amber dropper bottle
- labels (I’m obsessed with these chalk labels!)
- optional: extra vitamin E
Simply drop the oils into your glass amber bottle (if you register with Simply Earth, these will come free in your bonus box as well as the sweet almond oil!) and fill almost to the top with your sweet almond oil. If your skin is extra dry, I recommend leaving a little bit of space at the top and topping it off with vitamin E, but that’s completely up to you! Give a little stir with your dropper and your beard oil is good to go!

Why we’re using these oils in this beard oil recipe
Tea Tree Oil: Used in so many different acne treatments, this is a great one to always include in your skincare regimen. It is naturally anti-inflammatory and will work to help get rid of acne scars, reduce swelling and calm redness in the skin.
Cedarwood Oil: This awesome oil is a natural antiseptic, so will really work to keep the beard clean. It helps to prevent hair loss, will rid the skin of blemishes, boosts the respiratory system and will kill any fungal infections.
Lavender Oil: Due to its incredibly calming effects, lavender oil is one of the most popular used today. It can be used to reduce stress and anxiety, help relieve headaches, relieve pain and even burns and wounds and so much more! It’s definitely one that you want to always have handy!
Sweet almond Oil: This is the perfect way to keep your skin healthy, but also protect you naturally from harmful UV rays. It will combat irritated or chapped skin (so great for the upcoming winter months) and the fatty acids within it will work to keep your skin smooth and rid of fine lines. It’s also packed with vitamins!
