A day at the park with my family is what I pretty much crave these days. I think because its fun for them and a pretty relaxing experience for me, too. With the weather getting warmer, you would think that we’re seeing more days like these – but with my crazy schedule it’s unfortunately been less than I would like. Which makes me sad sometimes (bring on the mom guilt), but we’re just going through a period of time where our schedules are kinda nuts and I’m barely coming up for air during the week.
But when I do get a break, I do want to dress up a little when we go out because it makes me feel good about myself – even if I’m having a crummy moment on the inside. This Tobi Simple Truth Embroidery Dress has cheered me right up! Last week’s mom style Monday I talked about their Knot front dress I’ve been wearing and this is just another to add to the awesome summer dresses list.
Styling Embroidered Dresses
This is an easy one because unlike the knot front dress, the embroidered dress doesn’t need to much embellishment happening. This dress, I will admit, was a little bit on the see-through side so I did need to wear a basic long tank underneath (like this one) to make sure I wasn’t exposing myself to the world. And if you’re searching for a good lingerie tip: I finally bought the SPANX Bra-llelujah and I love how it fits, gives me a lift and smoothes everything out underneath my clothes.
I styled this embroidered dress with my Rose Gold Movado watch that I wear almost all day everyday and my favorite Dolce Vita Sandals (so comfortable that I buy a new pair every year!). And I will add that this embroidered dress can double as a pool cover up, as I tested that theory out when we went away back in March and it was perfect.
These are seriously those moments that I long for. Being out with the kids is everything to me and even if we get only one day a week of quality time – I’ll take everything that I can get!
Fashionably Yours,
Allison
