Essential Oils for Weight Loss and Fitness
Last summer, I did something to my right hip while running and holy crap did it hurt. It was one of my first running injuries ever (read: how to make running more enjoyable) and had me down for the count for a few days. One of the first things that I did was use an essential oil blend that I had handy, specifically for muscle pains. It came complete with one of the extra large roller balls so that I could apply some pressure and really massage it into my affected area. Honestly, it helped more than when I took Advil.
Overall, I think that when people think of essential oils, we overlook their pretty amazing healing properties beyond just mood enhancers and energy boosters (though they are amazing for that, too). And hint: they also work to keep your hair growing, especially after having a baby. We forget that they are actually medicinal and there are plethora of essential oils for weight loss and fitness that can do so many wonderful things for our bodies.
Why I love using essential oils for weight loss and fitness
There are so many reasons why I love using essential oils for weight loss and fitness! Most of all, I love the routine of it. I use them like clockworks most days, and whenever you get into this healthy habit, your body will honestly thank you. Pairing the oils with a carrier oil and rubbing it on sore places, your stomach, etc (I go into more detail below), you will feel everyday results. Beyond that, it’s easy, effective and has become part of my daily self care routine.
Essential oils to use for weight loss and fitness
Obviously essential oils aren’t a miracle cure, they need to be paired with a healthy diet and fitness routine. (Read: how moms can fit in a daily workout routine.) But, they can do so many wonderful things for your body and I’m excited to share my favorites one + how to effectively use them!

Peppermint Essential Oil – I always have peppermint oil handy because it has so many amazing healing properties! How to use these essential oils for weight loss and fitness recovery : You have to keep in mind that oils are medicinal, which means they are very potent. Mix a few drops with a carrier oil (I prefer sweet almond oil) and rub them on your stomach, neck, or add a few pure drops to a warm bath.You can use these on their own or mixed together for optimum healing properties. Make sure that you avoid any areas that might have cracked skin.
