Being a mom who wants to feel good and be on top of all the fall fashion trends means shopping on a budget. Here are some of my favorite fall fashion items and where to get your hands on these styles!

Fall Fashion Trends: Where to Get Them On a Budget

If I’ve learned anything over the years about working in the fashion world it’s that each season you only need a few key pieces to really transform your entire wardrobe, but you need to be strategic about it. I say this for two reasons. First, because if you’ve got a family, there’s a budget that comes into play, to allow everyone to get some new fall fashion in their lives. And second, because you want these pieces to be able to work with the already existing pieces in your closet.

For me, working out is a huge part of my life and I pretty much live in fitness clothes, so I’ve really been paying attention to all of these fun athleisure trends that are a big part of this season’s fall fashion trends.

What are some fall fashion trends we’re seeing?

You don’t find me buying trendy items often, but one thing that I am focusing on this upcoming fall fashion season is basics that have trendy touches. Comfort is also key for this busy mama and sometimes I need to be able to go straight from a workout to a meeting and I need to look presentable when I do so!

Here’s a few fall fashion trends to think about when shopping:

• Leather, tweed, animal print and mixing fabric types were all over the runways
• Fun, shiny fabrics – bling is in!
• Plaid and checks
• Fringe on everything!
• Cowboy boots

Where am I shopping for my fall fashion?

This year, I promised myself to take the easy approach to shopping for my favorite fall fashion trends, by getting everything done at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Yes, you read that correctly. I’m turning this into a one-stop shop situation where I can get literally everything that I need for the home, stock our kitchen, and add some pieces to my wardrobe at the same time. I’ve learned through experience that families can save up to $500 per year by just regularly shopping at their local BJ’s. I wish that you could feel how buttery soft these athletic leggings are and cozy this tee is through the computer screen. I can tell that everything is made from high-quality fabrics that will last the many, many washes ahead of them this fall.

BJ’s offers an exciting selection of fall apparel, from outerwear and jeans to basics and footwear. For the pieces I chose during my shopping trip to BJ’s, I really focused on the first two fall trends. By mixing pieces that incorporated sheer fabric with opaque cotton (in the top) and the athletic leggings with the faux leather, shiny appearance I actually mixed together a leather look-alike fabric with more sheer fabric. Honestly, I will wear these leggings both to workout and to pair with booties and sweater this fall – they are my new favorites!
