This easy-to-make fresh cranberry vodka spritz holiday cocktail or mocktail recipe is a healthier alternative to traditional cranberry juice and so refreshing.

The holiday season is about celebrating together with friends and family, many of these people who we don’t get to see regularly throughout the year. A special season deserves a special drink! I love everything cranberry flavored this time of year, but as you all know, I focus on healthier alternatives whenever possible, so I created this easy-to-make, fresh cranberry vodka spritz holiday cocktail recipe that can also be enjoyed as a mocktail.

I love easy-to-make cocktails that can also be enjoyed as a mocktail very much. There is no reason to exclude anyone who chooses not to drink, and this is a wonderful option to have on hand during your holiday gatherings. The cranberry compote can also be used for other recipes or as a relish for sandwiches, etc – it’s very versatile! Ingredients for the Fresh Cranberry Vodka Spritz Holiday Cocktail Recipe (Or Mocktail):

1 bag of fresh cranberries

Vodka of your choosing (or not!), you just need 1 shot for the final recipe to make 1

Lime sparkling water

To make:

Step 1: Empty your bag of fresh cranberries into a blender or food processor – I use my Ninja and am obsessed. It has lasted years! Add in as much water as you like, depending on what consistency you’re after. I started with a 1/2 cup and added a bit more as I blended. Also, drizzle in your honey to taste. Once finished, set aside in your refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving to get the juices really flowing!

Step 2: Fill a glass with ice and measure out a shot of vodka (or not!). Put in about a heaping tablespoon of your cranberry compote, top with lime sparkling water, and enjoy!
