Fun Summer Activities: How to Trick Your Kids Into Reinforcing Key Skills

These kids of ours, they learn so much during the school year, but we worry about how much of that is retained during the summer months when they are out of school. Branden has a huge appetite for learning but doesn’t always respond well to the way his teacher goes about the curriculum, so we are always looking for engaging activities, year-round really, that keeps his brain absorbing information, but in as fun of a way as possible. This week, Branden will officially be out of school for the summer and he received his very first Dispatch Kids subscription box and we have officially added this to our list of favorite fun summer activities!

so many awesome fun summer activities to choose from!

After you sign up for Dispatch Kids, you’ll receive three monthly special fun-filled packages, expanding on the first story. Each lighthearted detective adventure is something fun for your child to look forward to receiving in the mail (we love getting happy mail in our home!) and Branden was busy for hours. Last weekend, we actually took the box to the park with us, because the playground was a little bit more for Blake’s age group and Branden sat underneath a shady tree and dug into his learning adventure.

Why has Dispatch Kids topped our favorite fun summer activities list?

This awesome subscription box is so much fun for kids. While it is targetted towards ages 3-5, Branden really enjoyed it too, and it kept him busy for quite some time. I think his complete concentration while playing was because of how this challenges kids – and what kid doesn’t love overcoming a challenge? Each child gets to design their own adventure through hands-on problem-solving in a fun, engaging, storyline-based game. Dispatch Kids is the only comprehensive, skills-based game developed along the popular Escape Game model that aligns with core standards for Kindergarten readiness and early primary grades. It’s pretty much a dream come true for parents everywhere.

There are so many wonderful skills that are strengthed through every component in this box. It focuses on cognitive, language, numerical, and social/emotional skills they will be tested on during Kindergarten screening and beyond. And let’s be real here: these are life skills, too, that we want our kids to master and build on from a young age.

With most of our children’s brain development happening before they reach the age of five years old, it’s important to be aware that they are absorbing information from everywhere, and putting Dispatch Kids in their hands gives them the power to really exercise their growing brains – and have fun while doing it!

Looking for more fun summer activities? I’ve got some ideas for you mama!

If you would have told me that so much fun could be had within this small box, I would have bet against you, and I would have been wrong! There is nothing like seeing your child open up the mail to see this red box waiting for them. They get excited about the fun summer activities ahead of them, and we’re satisfied knowing about all the skills they will hone in on and strengthen while they have a great time. Dispatch Kids is a game changer!

XOXO,

Allison
