Truth be told, in our household, getting back into a routine after being out of one for so long is challenging. If you’ve been following along, we’ve been all over the place this summer and especially this month with Chris being away for a whole month of military training. The kids and I traveled from NYC to my parent’s in Pittsburgh, then we made a stop at my sister’s in Ohio, then back to Pittsburgh again. After we return home and reunite with my husband, we’re squeezing in one last summer trip as a family because the structure of the back to school transition begins.
Getting back into the swing of things with a school routine takes guts.
Here’s how we’ll do it:
-
Waking up at a set time.
We’ve been all over with the time that we all get up in the morning since we’ve been traveling so much, so setting that alarm clock again will be a key component in setting these healthy routines again. I’m the kind of person that thrives in the morning, so this small change makes a big impact in my life.
-
Getting back on keto.
I had been going strong with the keto diet for about five weeks and I went off of it whenever we got to Pittsburgh because I wanted to enjoy some wine with family and it was difficult to keep to a diet when we had so many mouths to feed, so I stepped away. But as soon as we return home, my grocery cart will be filled with keto-friendly everything and I’ll jump right back in.
-
Running first thing in the morning.
Before I had Blake, I used to run as soon as I dropped Branden off at the bus stop. I finally got a jogging stroller, so this can happily become part of my life again a few mornings a week.
But what’s the one thing that remains a constant in my life? Renew Life Ultimate Flora Probiotics
About 5 years ago, I was at work and had what was probably chest pains caused by gas and I knew that something needed to change about my daily life. The pains were so painful that once I got through them, I decided to do some major research on probiotics and have never looked back once I incorporated them into my daily life.
Renew Life Ultimate Flora Probiotics help restore digestive balance in your system with their 30 billion live cultures per capsule and 10 scientifically studied probiotic strains. Not only do they keep me regular (yes- I went there!) but they help support my overall immune system as well and as a result, I barely ever get sick. My energy has improved over the years with 95% of your body’s happiness-inducing serotonin being produced in your gut, I’m living my best life, too.
Not only are probiotics good for my gut, but they’re ideal for my kids too. Growing up today takes guts. Don’t believe me? Check out the latest video ad from Renew Life here.
Do you take probiotics every day? I would love to hear your story!

My mom always tries to get me to take probiotics, but I usually only do when I take antibiotics. She takes hers everyday too!

This product sounds amazing. It sounds appealing for the energy alone. That’s great that it’s kid friendly too.
