Healthy Snack Foods: Health Warrior For The Win
These past weeks throughout our move have been extremely trying and we’re all still transitioning into our new normal. I will admit that I have not been the greatest with encouraging healthy eating during this time and the kids have reached for foods that have been easy and less on the nutritious side. You all know that’s not how I typically roll, but I’ve been in survival mode, give me a break okay? But we just got Branden officially registered for his new school, which means we’re getting ready to adjust to his back to school routine and it’s time for us to kick the crap to the curb and focus on healthy snack foods that make busy back to school mornings nutritious, but still easy for us busy mamas!
My head is admittedly swirling already with what to pack in Branden’s lunch box and what to make sure I have stocked in the pantry for busy mornings. I’m not a Pinterest mom, and you will never find me cutting fruit into star shapes because that’s not just me, but I am the mom who makes sure that health is at the forefront in our lives. Because of this, I’m keeping Health Warrior, chia bars handy and I guarantee that after reading about how nutritionally dense and low in sugar they are – you will, too. And pssstt…I’ve got a discount code below!
Our favorite healthy snack foods
First and foremost, these bars taste amazing and we know that if it doesn’t taste good, our kids won’t give them a second try. The Health Warrior bars come in so many different, wonderful flavors and so many more are coming our way that you’ll want to try, too! But when it comes to the cold hard facts that keep moms buying these healthy snack foods over and over it’s because they are only 100 calories and 3 grams of sugar – which was a really big deal for this awesome brand. They worked extremely hard to get their sugar count down to 3 grams because they know easy it is for kids to get so much more than they really need in their diet. In addition, there aren’t any sugar alcohols, meaning that your whole family can snack happy.
Why we love these easy healthy snack for kids
Honestly, Branden wakes up and has been playing “eeny, meeny, minie, moe” (is that even how you spell that game?) every morning to choose which flavor to devour for breakfast. It gives him something to look forward to, which we all know can perk up these upcoming early mornings. And because he loves to snack on them so much AND they only have 3 grams of sugar, I don’t feel bad about him eating them twice a day. In fact, I even feel better about his diet because he’s a super picky eater who turns his nose us to almost all veggies.

These sound yummy with all the different flavors. Are they low carb? These would be great to give my kids for a snack but we are doing lower carb. I need to go look on their web-site to look at the ingredients.
