I love getting dressed up during the holiday season and one fabric that has been on repeat in my Christmas season wardrobe is velvet – specifically in red!

Holiday Style: Red Velvet For Everyone
To me, the holiday season is all about lush fabrics, sparkles, and gold hardware galore! I’ve always been a fan of mixed mediums when it comes to styling a look. For instance, I love a lace or sheer fabric paired with something heavier and opaque – there is just something so playful and chic about that. For today’s holiday look, I’m mixing together a bright red, stretchy blouse with puffy sleeves and a cream-colored tweed skirt with gold buttons.
Of course, you can’t complete a holiday look without a classic pair of designer shoes and I’m obsessed with Valentine rock studs. I would own them in every color if possible, and they have a lot. They are comfortable, even though they don’t look like they are. The straps that go up the ankle act as an anchor in a way, and I find them easier to walk in than any of my other heels. And of course, the gold rock studs just grab everyone’s attention. (I also have the wedges in brown which are the summertime version.)
The pictures honestly don’t do this red blouse any justice, check out my video below to see how soft, shiny, and perfect this top is for the holiday season.
