Too often we associate the liver with drinking, but it’s more than that. We need to focus on how to have a healthy liver every day of our lives. Here’s why!
This is a sponsored post. Thanks for supporting Project Motherhood!
A few months ago, I was having a conversation with a dear friend who is currently battling cancer. She is the most positive, compassionate, level-headed person that I have ever met and I’m so lucky to have her in my life. We schedule calls with each other every month or so and spend hours on the phone filling each other in with what’s new. She knows that I have been on a weight loss journey this year and had some insight for me that has made one the most postive impacts in my experience: paying attention to what’s happening with my liver.
Just like so many people, I only think of my liver in relation to how it’s feeling after a night of too many drinks, but clearly I needed to shift my mindset. And you know what? I’m hoping that you do, too.
My friend revealed to me that in all of her private cancer support groups that they talked about the liver more than anything else in terms of not only healing themselves of cancer, but for total, whole body health. And then everything clicked, because the liver plays a role in how we digest, how we store energy, and even acts as an important part of our immune system.
If you’ve been wondering how to have a healthy liver, I’m excited to share more today in partnership with my friends at LifeSeasons.

How does the conversation of having a healthy liver relate back to my weight loss journey this year? It’s really simple actually. If your liver isn’t functioning properly (sharing more information on how to determine this below!) then there is no way that you are going to function properly – or lose any weight at all. So If you’ve found that you are stalling on your personal weight loss journey, tryin introducing LifeSeasons Puri-T into your life!
I have been taking LifeSeasons Puri-T for about 3 months now, and for the first time in years of struggling with weight loss issues, I’m noticing a difference – which is HUGE for me!
How to Have a Healthy Liver
Just like whenever you notice that your skin is breaking out and you want to resolve the issue, we must apply this type of thinking to our organs as well. So the answer to how to have a healthy liver is both simple and complex all at the same time: you have to put the effort in to taking care of it.
First, here are some signs that your liver isn’t functioning the way it should:
- Skin troubles (acne, chronic itchiness, or blotchiness)
- Mood troubles (Irritability, anxiety, and depression)
- Headaches and fatigue
- Increased sensitivity to perfumes, detergents, and chemicals
Now, you gotta fix it!
Our liver acts as a filter basically to break down harmful compounds in our bodies. It does this through two different phases known as “Phase I and Phase II Detoxification.”
LifeSeasons has shared with me that because “Phase I produces a lot of cell-damaging free radicals, it is important to give your body antioxidants by eating a diet full of brightly-colored plants, and by taking supplements containing Turmeric, Resveratrol, and N-Acetyl Cysteine. Herbs like Milk Thistle add support by strengthening and protecting liver tissues, helping balance inflammation, and providing additional antioxidants.”
