Bodysuits are one of summer’s hottest fashion trends! If you find yourself wondering how to wear a bodysuit, you’re in the right place.

Last month, I went to Miami for my younger sister’s bachelorette party. I am 9 years older than her, so I was most definitely mama bear on this trip. There were a couple trends that these girls on the trip were all sporting: biker shorts as regular shorts and bodysuits. One day I mentioned to the girls how I could never wear them because I definitely have a mom bod and they were all like “nooooo bodysuits totally suck you in.”
This obviously left me thinking that I have been missing out on this trend. So whenever my friends at Pink Blush, a really cool online boutique, reached out for me to show off a few of their styles, I decided that this would be a great opportunity to do a little “how to wear a bodysuit at any age” post. (I also have a fun going out top to share at the end of this post, too!)
How to Wear a Bodysuit At Any Age
Like I said before, I never thought I would love wearing a bodysuit…but here we are. I actually really love this pieces and wanted to share a few tips for styling it so that you can wear one of your own.
- Pay attention to the size guide if ordering online, if shopping in store, do a little try on. I say this because size is even more important with bodysuits due to the clip in between your legs so that you can pee. You will uunderstand when you are in it….promise.
- Speaking of those buttons in between your legs: cheap is cheap when choosing a bodysuit, so choose wisely.
- They function the same way any other shirt would (except a crop, of course) and you get the perfect tuck each time!
- Always choose stretchy fabrics for optimum comfort.
- If you are planning on wearing with a tight skirt or pants, choosing a thong bodysuit is best. I am wearing one shaped like a bathing suit and you don’t see any lines with this one.
I just love how this Black Ribbed Scoop Neckline Short Sleeve Bodysuit looks with this chic, yet casual Taupe Leopard Print Drawstring Hi-Low Midi Skirt. I get so many compliments on this outfit and it’s so comfortable! I either pair it with sneakers or flip flops, which are conducive to my busy mom life.
Now a dressy top option…
This PinkBlush Black Zipper Front Top is my go to for nights out the rest of this summer! It’s a little bit over-sized (I’m wearing a medium and should have ordered a small), so I do a little tuck in the front.
