For some reason, wearing white after labor day has become such a mysterious situation! For so long we have been told never to do it, then we have fashion greats such as Manolo who have been telling the world to break that rule! But nonetheless, no matter what exactly is said in our fashion bibles, once labor day has passed and we pull something white from our closets, we are instantly filled with a little bit of fear that we will be “fashion shamed” for flaunting it in public.
I disagree wholeheartedly, so today, on labor day–we are going to discuss how to wear white after labor day–and beyond!
How to Wear White After Labor Day: Scenario #1
One of my favorite ways to wear white is to mix it with neutrals! This helps tone down the brightness of the white and makes it appear even more crisp. Adding some giant earrings and throwing your hair up in an effortless “mom bun” gives the illusion that you are pulled together–even if you may not be! Complete the look with your favorite shades and you are ready to go!
If you are wanting to take this look into the chillier months, simply add your favorite denim jacket over your shoulders and it will last you until its time to put the open toed shoes away!
How to Wear White After Labor Day: Scenario #2
This look is much more casual for the laid back lady, but playful nonetheless with the ripped denim and t-shirt paired with a dressier tuxedo blazer! So for the second how to wear white after labor day inspiration I chose to do white on white + denim! I love a monochromatic white look, but sometimes it can be a little bit much pulling it off while working it from head to toe. This option can also be paired with a dark skinny denim for an occasion when you need to get more dressed up.
Mix and match this look with some beautiful metallic jewelery and you are ready to go! I love pairing together numerous bangles up my arm, some with a little bling to make this look even more special!
We hope that you all have a wonderful Labor Day, enjoy those extra moments with your families and do something special!
Fashionably Yours,
Allison
