Before I started the keto diet, I created a energy bites recipe that gained lots of popularity. I make it every once in a while for my family because it is still incredibly healthy, but it just doesn’t follow the keto lifestyle, so I don’t eat it. But I do love the ease of popping energy bites into your mouth as an easy treat or a simple way to fuel you through a low-energy moment, so I created one of my new favorite keto snack ideas: keto energy bites!

With seriously only 5 ingredients, all being things that are staples in a keto pantry, you will be able to whip these up in 5 minutes and really enjoy adding them to your day.

In all seriousness, I typically have a toddler pulling at my leg whenever I do ANYTHING, so I don’t have time for any keto snack recipes that are complicated. Everything in my life needs to be easy, or I don’t really have time for it these days. I’m sure that your life is quite the same, kids or not, life is busy. So I made sure the best keto snack recipes I have handy are effortless.

What you need to make keto-friendly energy bites:

Step 1: Measure out all of your ingredients and pour the peanut butter into a large mixing bowl.

Step 4: add as much of the Lily’s baking chips as you like. I use these because each dark chocolate chip is sweetened with stevia, making these keto snack recipes actually keto friendly. It’s your only sweetener on the whole recipe, so keep that in mind.

Step 5: mix all ingredients with a spoon and then start rolling into small, bite-sized balls and set aside in a bowl. It’s also a little bit easier to roll them if you set aside the mixture in the fridge for a couple of minutes. Once all the dough is formed into balls, refrigerate.

Step 6: After they’ve hardened a bit, feel free to enjoy!

These are my go-to keto snacks when I don’t have time to prep—just grab, snack, and go. Add them to your weekly routine and you’ll always have something delicious and low-carb on hand!

  • Cheese cubes + almonds

  • Celery with cream cheese

  • Boiled eggs with “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning

  • Turkey roll-ups with avocado

  • Keto trail mix (unsweetened coconut, pecans, cacao nibs)

  • Mini bell peppers stuffed with tuna or chicken salad 

  • Cucumber slices with guacamole
    âžť Crunchy, refreshing, and packed with healthy fats.

  • Pepperoni chips
    ➝ Bake pepperoni slices at 400°F for 5–7 minutes = instant crispy keto “chips” without the carbs.

  • Olives + mozzarella balls
    âžť A quick Mediterranean-style snack loaded with good fats and flavor.

  • Keto chocolate fat bombs
    âžť Make ahead with coconut oil, cocoa powder, and a little almond butter. Store in the fridge for a sweet, satisfying treat.

  • Seaweed snacks with avocado slices
    âžť Low-carb, salty, and perfect for curbing those afternoon cravings.

  1. Rather than sourcing a specific product (which is not available everywhere) I will have to substitute grated dark chocolate and sweetener of my choice. Please explain how much chocolate you used and how much each ball weighed to achieve the macros in your nutrition panel.
