It baffles me sometimes how quickly the years pass me by, and I almost feel like I was just reflecting on 2014. I become so focused on the planning and the big picture sometimes that I forget to pay attention to the in between. I try. I really do. We all do.
But all in all, this is what these moments are for. It is time to reset our batteries, squeeze the ones we love so tight, and reflect on those precious moments that we hold so dear. It is also a time for change. Not everything that we thought would work out does and plans sometimes take detours, so we must adapt and reset goals as we move into a new year, with a blank slate.
Personally, 2015 was filled with more travel, more moments spent with family we don’t often get to see, a new nephew, a new school year, and many fun moments with these boys of mine. I keep a Facebook photo album on my personal page labeled with each year for easy reflections, and 2015 was action packed! It makes my heart full and I am overjoyed with what is to come in 2016.
Last year, I shared “The Good, The Bag, and The Crazy – Parenting My Way Through 2014” and reminisced on the top motherhood posts of the year. Today, I’m looking back on the year as a whole and sharing YOUR favorites from 2015, which I will try to do more of in the new year.
5. About Me
Not really a post, but a page that was created about me whenever I re-launched the blog with a new design back in April. This year with the new layout, I was so excited to blog at a place that I felt was really “me” and portrayed everything that I have wanted Project Motherhood to be for so long. It was difficult to condense all the important information about myself into this one page, but I really hope it gives you all some insight on me, my journey with Project Motherhood and what you can expect whenever you stop by to visit me! 3. Spicy Roasted Chick Peas
Towards the end of 2015, I launched the “healthy life” category because this was truly something that was important to me, and I wanted to write about it more. I promise to do more of these in 2016 and improve my food photography, too. READ THE SPICY ROASTED CHICK PEA RECIPE HERE.
2. #MomSurvival With ABC Arbonne Baby Care
This was my first ever viral post on Project Motherhood and was such a win for me this year! There really isn’t any way to guarantee a post will go viral, it really is all luck. Working with Arbonne was a great experience because this truly was a product that we used when B was first born and I was so happy to see the message so well received by so many readers! 1. 10 Beauty Commandments to Live By
By far, this was the most popular post of 2015 and connected me with so many new beauty lovers! This was a fun post to write because it showed off my sense of humor a bit, but also brought up some very important points about how we take care of ourselves. There are SO MANY habits, both good and bad, that I have developed over the years that it was time to lay some to rest and strengthen others. READ MORE HERE.
How are you reflecting on 2015? What are your goals for the new year?
