Five years ago today, (I can’t believe it’s been that long already!) I married my husband. As you can see in the picture above, I was seven months pregnant, and we were expecting our little man that upcoming September. Since our wedding day, life and marriage has truly been an adventure that we have conquered together through ups and downs, good days and bad days. We really have become a team, taking on the world together, one day at a time.
I think that a wedding anniversary is the truly perfect time to sit down and reflect on your past year together, review how you have grown and the challenges and triumphs you have experienced together. And once you reach the milestone anniversaries, there are big life changing events to look back on.
I have to say that our biggest milestones during our marriage were certainly the birth of our son, my graduation from college, my husband’s active duty Army contract coming to an end, and most certainly moving back to New York City. Each milestone has certainly helped shape us into the people–and couple–that we are today.
I found this quote on Pinterest this morning that I think is pretty accurate:
(AND, I’m not sure if it’s because our anniversary is coming up or what, but as I’m writing this, my husband just offered to do the dishes!)
Love is certainly in the air today in my home! I love you Christopher, and I am looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together!
Fashionably Yours,
Allison
