Everyday Makeup Tips For Flawless Face Makeup
Today we are discussing a topic that I KNOW we will be able to relate to– makeup tips for transitioning your look from day to night. Being so busy, it’s seldom that we have the time to stop home and take a shower to wash off the day before heading out to evening events. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not gallivanting all over the city and staying out until wee hours in the night, but very often I need to go from business lunches or events straight to evening events without being able to stop home first.
These are truly my go to tips that I will find myself doing even in a restaurant bathroom in between meetings to make sure that I’m looking polished, without appearing as if I have been out all day (even if I was!).
Everyday Makeup Tips For Going From Day To Night
- I always make sure that I apply a great primer first whenever I know I’m going to be out all day because this will help hold everything together as long as possible.
- Carrying around a package of oil blotting wipes is essential for your first step in going from day to evening. It’s amazing how much oil we produce as we go throughout the day and wiping your face down with one of these will help make the surface of your skin matte again and enable you to build off of it. For those of you with dry skin, you may want to have a face finishing product that adds a bit of sparkle or shine as your skin dulls out during the day.
- Another one of my must-have makeup tips for going from day to evening is to keep a multi purpose product with you that will work overtime as a lip color and blush; this way you don’t need to carry as many products with you throughout the day.
Everyday makeup tips for the perfect face makeup
- Your eye makeup is probably the most important part in transitioning from day to night, because people get more dramatic in the evening but keep it light during the day. Keep a mini mascara in your purse along with a portable eyeliner and black eye-shadow. I know black eye shadow can sound a bit dramatic, but it doesn’t need to be. Having this color with you to add in small amounts to the outer corners of your eyes will add an easy dramatic effect (you control just how dramatic), and you are good to go!
