Being a mom of two and running my own business from home means one thing: I need to be bold. Here’s what keeps me fueled throughout the day so I can be the best version of myself for my family and my clients alike.

Making Bold Moves
Being a mom is hands down the most difficult job in the world. There are so many layers to it, emotions run high and mom guilt runs deep. We want what’s best for our families every moment of every day and won’t let anything stand in the way of achieving that. But you guys hear about my motherhood experiences all the time, and even though it’s a direct correlation to everything that happens here, I wanted to share some bold moves with you all that I’m working on making in my professional life that go more or less, undiscussed. And what is the one thing fueling me to make any bold moves in my life? (Other than my support I get from my family, of course.) Coffee. Coffee equals life, and I’m obsessed with the new bold flavors of 1850 Brand Coffee, a premium blend from the makers of Folgers and available at Target.
Why does my love for coffee run so deep? It’s simple. Because every bold life starts with a bold choice…first thing in the morning. The name comes from how back in 1850, J.A. Folger helped the prospectors as they sought their fortunes, similarly to how all of movers and shakers of the world start our days, today. The 1850 Brand Coffee is the official coffee of bold people fueling original ideas, new commitments, and brave endeavors – ultimately becoming more than a coffee, but an ally to the hustle.
Poured directly from my french press, it’s available in four signature blends of Ground to K-Cup coffee and will soon be available in 3 Ready to Drink flavors. It offers a unique blend of ground coffee that delivers bold, yet smooth taste – perfect for busy mornings. In order to have the energy, the focus, and the stamina to push through my day (sometimes sleep exhausted) and deal with the highly competitive nature of this world, I need to make sure that a cup of 1850 Brand Coffee, is always by my side.
My bold goals
We’re halfway through 2018, and while I set out to do a lot of very tedious tasks on the back end of my website and have been working on them weekly, I’m trying to start looking at the bigger picture, and this is what that looks like for me.
More honesty. Less curated moments.
If you follow me on social media, you may have noticed a little bit of a shift in my photos or how I’ve added a real mom chat weekly Facebook series (check out the live I did feature 1850 Coffee HERE!) to my weekly offerings. Now, more than ever, moms need connection and support in their lives and it’s so important to me to touch base with this small community of powerful mamas I’ve built to have honest, real and less curated moments. And as for photos, I’ve made it my mission to capture the real – even if everyone isn’t looking at the camera. Because that is real life, the one we’re all living.
Add writing a book to my to-do list.
This is the boldest thing for me to work towards in my professional life, and I feel kinda vulnerable putting this one out there. But, I figured what better day than today to put it out there: I want to write a book. I want for moms to read my book and go “me too” throughout each page. We’ll see what the future holds. For now, this will remain my ultimate goal.
Running a marathon.
I haven’t gotten back into running regularly since I had Blake (but have been obsessed with high-intensity workouts), but want to. Whenever we move this summer, Chris and I plan on getting back into it together and possibly joining a running group to prepare to reach our goal of running a marathon. Even though I always ran a lot, I’ve never done a marathon before and it would push me so incredibly out of my comfort zone – but this is how we grow as human beings, so I’m going to work towards it.

Love the idea of making bold moves. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I will be passing this info on to my friend who can’t get enough of the stuff.

My husband is a coffee drinker and I’m sure he will enjoy this one. Bold moves? We are moving this summer to a city where I won’t know anyone. My husband is military. I will have to put myself out there and make friends.
