I know, I kinda just glassed over the first trimester, but let’s be real – it’s all kinda a blur anyways! I feel like the first trimester is spent staring at the toilet and just eating what you can, when you can and getting extra sleep to survive. I am approaching the end of my second trimester here (I seriously can’t believe it!), and have found that these 5 second trimester necessities make the whole experience much easier for mamas! (And enter to win them all below!)
What You Need Now – Second Trimester Necessities
1. The Preggo Tank by Belly Bandit has been a life saver for multiple reasons in my life! First, for the main reasons, as it truly does help with belly support and I wear it almost daily underneath my clothes (so buy a few of them!). It also helps prevent stretch marks without having to apply extra prevention lotion – score! It has also been my saving grace since I’m still doing the hair tie method with a pair of jeans I have and it lays perfectly over the zipper area.
2. I’ve realized lately just how important having a great maternity bra really is, and my favorite is the Cake Maternity Lotus Yoga & Pumping Bra! Not only is this seamless and super comfy, but its great for your active daily life and perfect for all of you fitness needs, too! Lastly, there is an opening at the under layer to make pumping easier, so it will take you through beyond pregnancy.
3. I’ve shared Bump Water on my Instagram feed before and I have used it while trying to conceive all the way through! It is a vitamin supplement beverage – yes, that means that you get to drink those prenatal vitamins and get all that extra folic acid without taking any pills. It’s OBGYN recommended and truly a life saver for pregnant and breastfeeding mamas that can’t stomach the big pills.
4. Okay, you all know how much I love coffee, but pregnancy limitations make it tough to drink my favorite elixir! Now, with Mommee Coffee that is all changed! It is perfect for mamas who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive and is made with organic beans, low acidity and caffeine, and water processing for chemical free decaffeination. They have so many options that you can choose what works best for you!
5. The Bellifly Maternity Pillow is a new kind of maternity pillow that will completely rock your pregnant world! It’s much more on the compact side, so you get all the maternity pillow benefits without the bulk and know that this will be amazing for feeding too when baby gets here – so it’s like a 2-for-1 kinda deal! I didn’t use any extra pillows whenever I was pregnant with B and I was totally missing out without this in my life!
