It’s not everyday that I get to do a blog post that’s all about me and my main man, so when an opportunity came up for a fun, fall fashion collaboration, I couldn’t have said “yes” any faster! As you all know, I’ve loved Liverpool Jeans Company for quite some time and they truly gave me the confidence this spring to be me again after having Blake. Well, I’m back sharing a little bit more about their latest additions: colored denim for fall. The extra special part is that they have them for both men and women (yup, they just launched a men’s line!) – so you can match your partner!
I know, we’re cute lol But here we are in our matching Olive colored denim for fall. Chris is wearing the Slim Straight c/o Liverpool Jeans and I’m wearing the Mid Rise Ankle Skinny c/o Liverpool Jeans.
How to Style Colored Denim For Spring
Before we dive in, I want to share a few general tips for adding colored denim to your wardrobe:
1️⃣ Keep It Light & Fresh with Neutrals 🌿✨
Spring is all about light, airy colors, so pair your colored denim with neutral tops like white, beige, soft gray, or chambray. This keeps your outfit balanced while letting your bold denim take center stage.
2️⃣ Play with Pastels & Soft Tones 🌸
Spring is the perfect time to experiment with pastel-colored denim like blush pink, mint green, or sky blue. Pair them with similar soft tones for an effortlessly chic, monochrome look.
3️⃣ Add a Classic Striped or Floral Top 🌼
Stripes and florals are spring staples! A striped tee with coral or lavender denim gives off a Parisian-chic vibe, while a floral blouse adds a feminine, spring-ready touch.
4️⃣ Elevate with a Blazer or Denim Jacket 👖
For a polished yet casual spring outfit, layer a white blazer or light-wash denim jacket over your colored jeans. This adds structure and keeps the look modern and put-together.
5️⃣ Choose the Right Footwear 👡
Spring calls for lighter footwear! Try:
- Sneakers for a laid-back, mom-friendly vibe
- Ballet flats for an effortlessly chic touch
- Block-heel sandals for a dressier feel
- Espadrilles to keep the look fresh & seasonal
6️⃣ Mix & Match with Patterns & Textures 🎨
Don’t be afraid to mix colored denim with printed tops, textured sweaters, or ruffled blouses. Just keep the prints subtle so they don’t compete with the bold jeans!
7️⃣ Keep Accessories Simple & Fresh 👜
A structured tote, dainty gold jewelry, and a fun spring scarf can complete your look without overpowering your outfit. Opt for light, neutral, or pastel-colored accessories to keep things cohesive.
First, let’s talk fit: The men’s version is definitely a little bit on the smaller side, so you might want to try them on or order up a size in the waist. He’s all about the henley tees this year and these look great with the classic grey, but don’t be afraid to pair with some color, too.
My city guy for life!
Women’s Fit: I’m wearing a size 6 in these and they honestly fit like a glove! I think the women’s version is a bit more forgiving. They cover my muffin top and are super comfy and super stretchy that I honestly want to wear them everyday (keep scrolling to see them in another color!). You probably recognize this top from my Golden Tote Unboxing and these shoes from another style post featuring Clark’s – I love to keep wearing items over and over!
I’m really trying to play more with prints and texture lately, so this floral, mustard yellow peplum top was the perfect thing to pair with these skinny jeans and I felt really comfortable and confident in the outfit.
But the fun doesn’t stop with green! I have the same fit in a different color hanging in my closet, too: bright red and I love them just as much. Due to the brightness of the color, I chose to downplay the color in my top and go with a grey short (one of my favorites from American Eagle that I got on major clearance – similar version here).
I also made sure that the wedges I was wearing were a more muted color, too, because it allowed everything to flow together much more cohesively. I think that overall colored denim is a great way to update your fall wardrobe and have fun with it without having to put too much effort in. How do you style your colored denim?
