August means thinking ahead to fall style, but don’t pack away all your summer clothes just yet!
Every single year, I shout from the rooftops how this is one of my favorite times of year. This year especially with the new home, I seriously have butterflies in my stomach about the fall and winter months because I finally, after so many years, have a larger space to decorate. I’m excited to watch the leaves changing colors and falling from all our trees. I can’t wait to put up a Christmas tree in front of our living room Bay Windows. I’m excited to host Thanksgiving. The list could go on and on.
When it comes to fashion, I’m always equally excited this time of year because it’s fun to pull out sweaters and boots and jackets and get Branden ready for back to school. I love all these moments and look forward to them every year.
Summer Style That Easily Transitions to Fall
If I do any shopping during the month of August for clothes, I always have fall in mind and choose pieces that help my wardrobe make an easy transition into the new season. Here are a few pieces that I’m loving from Shein and you can use code motherhood to take an extra 15% off your purchase!
This beautiful pleated skirt (c/o Shein)is going to be a big go to for me as the weather get colder. It pairs perfectly with open toed sandals and a tank top now, but can easily be switched to booties and a cardigan as soon as there is a chill in the air.
Burgundy is one of those colors that just scream fall to me. This rich hue blends seamlessly in with the fall surroundings, which is why I chose it for this Butterfly Sleeve Top (c/o Shein). I love throwing it on with denim or white shorts, but know it will also look great with my skinny jeans and booties this fall. And of course, Blake had to jump in for a photo opp!
And lastly, this Floral Print Kimono Dress (c/o Shein) has been my end of the summer jam lately. I love the beautiful colors and how it can be casual or dressed up if you have somewhere nice to go. I will say that with my apple body shape, there is a band around the stomach with zero stretch that hits me in a weird place. To combat that, I hike up the mid section a little and I’m good to go.
