The Essential Oil First Aid Kit
I know it’s weird to think essential oils being in a first aid kit, but honestly, they are so powerful that their healing properties are truly on point with all the things you want handy whenever an accident occurs. Just add bandaids! First and foremost though, check out my guides for using essential oils with babies and essential oils with kids and make sure that you are following proper protocol to keep everyone safe. And of course, Im not a doctor, and don’t pretend to be – just an essential oil lover. If you are on the same page as me, mama, then you will want to build your own essential oil first aid kit, too!
What do you need in your essential oil first aid kit?
Before setting these oils aside, you want to make sure that you have somewhere to store these specific oils so they are handy whenever you need them. I’ve found that makeup bags are really great for storing essential oils that you want to travel with or group together. It helps me keep them away from little hands and stay organized, or else I would have oils everywhere. It’s also important to make sure you have a small bottle of carrier oil in your essential oil first aid kit. I always love sweet almond oil and this bottle is the perfect 4oz size. You are welcome to use your own favorite, but keep in mind that you want to choose one that is liquid at room temperate (unlike coconut oil), just in case you don’t have time for the means to heat it.
