Calling all my mamas: here’s why every single day should be like mother’s day. (Hint: my story probably isn’t what you’re expecting.)

Why We Should Treat Every Day Like Mother’s Day
Whenever I sit down behind my computer to write a post for you all, my intent is to always pour a little bit of my heart and soul out onto the page and hope that my words resonate with you. As we prepare for this upcoming Mother’s Day, I’m of course feeling all the feels as I go through the emotions of what this powerful day represents, but at the same time, challenging the barriers of this day and proposing that instead, we treat every day like Mother’s Day.
I don’t mean that moms should receive gifts every day (though that would be nice though…), I just mean that there should be a little bit more emphasis on how strong and amazing and wonderful moms really are – without a holiday that only happens once a year. Moms deserve to be celebrated every day and this year I’m truly changing up the way I look at things with the help of my friends at Trollbeads who helped me build a piece of jewelry that I hold so near and dear to my heart.
The charm bracelet that I built contains 4 unique beads that tell my motherhood story. They make me smile every time I look down at my wrist and are even helpful through difficult motherhood moments because I remember the bigger picture and how the tough moments are only a tiny snippet in time.
I chose the Family bead to represent this unit of four that Chris and I have brought together, into this world and cherish so, so deeply. The Mama Mia floral bead represents this particular year of motherhood, as it’s their limited edition Mother’s Day 2018 bead and I plan to build on this bracelet to represent the years to come. The Opposites Attract bead actually almost brought me to tears when I opened it up upon arrival as that’s exactly what Chris and I are – opposites. But just as the hearts go round and round, we balance each other out. And lastly, but definitely not least, I chose the Mother and Child bead to represent the relationship with each of my kiddos – both different, but equally strong.
Branden doesn’t like to be in front of the camera much these days, so taking this picture really meant a lot to me.
You can also see that I’m wearing a Sterling Silver Bangle with a beautiful, slightly purple bead inside – to me this little beauty stands for Project Motherhood – my third baby.

So my motherhood message is a little different this Mother’s Day: celebrate mom every single day. Our families are always on our minds, and these people that we cherish the most are always in the forefront of our life – always before us. When choosing a gift this year for mom, hop right on over to the Trollbeads website, where you can put together a piece of jewelry that will impact her every single day and will also probably bring her to tears.
Fashionably Yours,
Allison

Love the meaning behind the beads you selected. I spend so much time with my littles, but still miss them terribly when we’re apart. The lovely bracelet will be a great way to carry them with me.
