I am beyond excited to announce that on Saturday June 29th, we had a new addition added to my family. My gorgeous sister Natalie and her amazing fiance Mike welcomed a baby girl into the world at 6 am in the morning. She was 6 lbs 13 oz and 19.5 inches long, and even though she looks like a little peanut, this little sweetheart is growing quickly!
They named her Liliana Rose, Lily for short! I kept having problems getting her name spelled correctly. Everyone kept spelling it Lily–as in the flower, and I kept spelling it Lilly–and as is Lilly Pullitzer! I am beyond excited to be an Auntie again! We love our boys, but it will be fun to have a little girl around! (And, I must comment on how wonderful my sister looks in the above picture, RIGHT after having the baby!)

I got to meet the little one this past Wednesday, when she was just five days old and I instantly fell in love with my beautiful niece! In fact, we were even dressed similarly that day! (Check out the color palate in the picture!) I feel so fortunate that my family and I were able to be together to celebrate Lily’s arrival. At times like this it feels like we live so far away, so I felt like it was a serendipitous act of fate that my sisters due date was just days before we were planning our annual 4th of July visit. I guess you could say that we have a patriotic baby!

I feel like that time right after a baby is born is such important bonding time with the little one, not only for the parents, but for the whole family! I’m so happy that whenever my niece grows up and hopefully (fingers crossed) comes and visits me in New York City, I will be able to tell her that she was right there in my arms when she was only days old.
We are so fortunate to have a happy, healthy, beautiful new addition to the family! She is already cracking some smiles on her her face and melting our hearts by the minute!
