Find yourself asking “what is collagen good for?” I tried it for 30 days and am sharing the collagen benefits from using Collagen For Her collagen powder.

I have been super curious about collagen benefits for a while now. It’s sort of been a buzzy word lately in the health industry and I’ve found myself asking: what is collagen good for? Especially since so many of my friends were scooping it into their morning coffee. I’m always looking for ways to live an even healthier life and share that feedback with you all, so I started doing some investigating.
I was introduced to the brand Collagen For Her by a friend and loved the fact that at first glance their products were keto-friendly and that it was a brand dedicated to females.
If you watched my video from Facebook or need a replay (see below), about a month ago I shared how Collagen For Her’s Collagen Peptides was becoming a part of my wellness routine. It’s important to me that I truly tested this product out for 30 days before giving my honest feedback and I’m excited to finally share the full scoop (no pun intended!).

What Is Collagen Good For?
So. Many. Things.
Collagen is often referred to as “the glue that holds the body together” because without collagen our bodies wouldn’t be able to perform a lot of its essential functions. It is the most abundant protein in our bodies, however, around age 25, we start to produce less and less.
Our skin, bones, joints, and tendons are all made up of collagen, so when our bodies start to make less of it, we experience signs of aging such as wrinkles, joint pain, arthritis, and poor digestion.
So this is where the benefits of collagen come in.
The amazing benefits of collagen are numerous. The most popular and well-known benefits are three main things: glowing skin (ahem, anti-aging benefits), strong nails, and healthy hair. This happened because collagen helps increase blood flow in your body, which in return increases blood flow to your scalp and nails.
It also helps your body digest food, maintains healthy tendons, joints, and bones, and helps to support a healthy liver, heart, gut, and allover immune system. Who wouldn’t want those collagen benefits in their life?
My 30 Day Trial of Collagen For Her
First, there is no denying that there are a lot of collagen products on the market. So why would I choose Collagen For Her? It’s pretty simple: it dissolves better in your drinks (ie. no clumps!), it dissolves so well that you can’t even taste it, and it is responsibly sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine in South America.
They say it best on their website, “We are women. Our bodies can make humans. You should know what you are putting into your body. You should feel good about what you are putting in your body. You should trust the products you are putting in your body. So trust us, because we’re women and we know it makes a difference!”
My Experience With Collagen For Her
I tried both the unflavored collagen peptide powder and the collagen lemon water and loved them both. The unflavored powder was more conducive to my lifestyle as it become a part of my morning routine and was super easy to dissolve in my morning coffee. I loved the way the lemon water tasted as an afternoon pick me up, but you do have to make sure your water is room temperature for it to dissolve the powder.
As for the way that my body has felt over the past month, I am able to see and feel huge, wonderful differences. I’ve been having a lot of joint issues whenever I run and after the second week of taking the collagen peptides, I could physically feel a change with my joints. Praise!
My hair and nails started growing almost immediately, to the point where I have been curling my hair almost daily because I’m in need of a hair cut and having to clip and file my nails much more regularly. I’d say this is a win in my book.
And perhaps this is a little TMI…but I’m the girl who totally struggles with her gut health, which impacts how everything else operates in your entire body, and I have noticed a difference there, too. (If ya know what I’m sayin’.)
Will I continue to take collagen peptides every day? Heck yes! I feel such a shift in my body that there is no way that I can go back to a life without having collagen in my coffee each morning. Easy peasy with major health benefits.
