It’s so fun getting away for a few nights in the snowy weather. Here is what I packed for 3 nights away at Seven Springs Resort for a long weekend of family fun.

Almost immediately after Christmas was over this year, we escaped with our sweet family friends to Seven Springs Resort in PA and rented a beautiful home in The Villages that easily fit our crew of 4 adults and 8 children. We have gone in the past and taken Branden snow tubing (you can read that full recap here – the kids look SO small!) and were excited to go back for a relaxing weekend.

What to Pack For a Winter Weekend Away
Our plans for this trip were to just be comfortable and take time to recharge, so I wasn’t planning outfits for sparkly nights out, I kept things simple. We planned to snow tube, but we did know that the rainy weather probably wouldn’t make that a reality, but I still packed for that event in case Mother Nature worked in our favorite (she did not).
I tend to be an over-packer, so this is my attempt to really cut back as much as possible and only bring what I will use. Plus, we also had a washer and dryer, which we did end up using for a few of the kids items.
- Start with the perfect weekender bag
Currently, an extra 15% off, I purchased this right before we left because I knew if I started with a smaller bag meant for a weekend away I wouldn’t go overboard with packing. Shop here!

2. Add in a practical belt bag
To be completely honest, I never owned a belt bag until now and I’m officially obsessed. It is a little on the small side, so I need to get a smaller wallet for my license and credit cards, but this was perfect for a weekend away. It has also quickly become my everyday bag, I just love how chic and affordable it is! It also comes in a wide array of classic colors. Shop HERE.

3. Sorel Boots
This is not the first you have seen of these beloved boots of mine! I did an unboxing back in October over on IG (which you can watch here). I purchased these back in August because I got them on sale, so they are a little bit pricey now, but worth it. Shop HERE.

4. Uggs
My hubbs got me these for my birthday and we also got Blake a pair for Christmas. I wear them mostly indoors because I have something called Raynaud’s Disease and need my feet to be really warm at all times, so these came with me as my slippers. Shop Here.

5. Dressier winter boots
Like I said before, due to the issue with my feet, I don’t mess around when it comes to boots. I invest in high-quality ones that I can wear year after year. These Sorel wedges are wonderful and were also a gift from my husband for Christmas a few years ago – still in perfect condition. I love the wedge heel, perfect for my 5’1 frame. Shop Here.

6. Snow pants and an athletic, moisture wicking long sleeve top
I don’t play in the snow often, so I opted for a less expensive snow pants option. Shop Here.

7. A puffy coat
I have this Michael Kors puffy coat in cream and love it! It also washes perfectly in any washing machine and I just air dry. There is also a hood that is tucked into the collar area so you can use it or not, whichever you choose. Shop Here.

8. Skinny jeans
I know, I know: skinny jeans are out. But honestly, wear what makes you feel good! And skinny jeans tuck so nicely into boots for a winter weekend away and you don’t have to worry about them dragging on the ground. Shop Here.

9. Sweaters
I only brought one with me on this trip since I knew we would only be going out for dinner one night and as you have seen before I love this whole outfit – so cute, but casual. Shop sweater and shop the Spanx leggings Here.

10. Matching sets (no more than 2!)
My mom got me this matching set for my birthday and it is perfect for winter and chilly days when you’re all nestled up in a cabin! I also wore the sweater alone with my leggings out one day at the resort. Shop Here.

11. Boot socks and undergarments
Boot socks are super important for a winter weekend away because the last thing you want to do is dig in your boots for socks that keep creeping down. Shop them Here!

12. Comfortable pajamas
I’m obsessed with these comfy, stretchy Kate Spade pajamas! They were a gift while we were away and honestly perfect for when you want some cozy, lightweight PJs but still look cute. Shop Here!

13. Toiletries in a compact travel bag
My mom got me this bag for Christmas and I am obsessed! I was able to fit everything I needed inside and didn’t have to worry about anything breaking. This is a must-have for every woman! Shop Here.
