I’m going to be honest: this is a weird post for me to write.
I’m not worrying about SEO and finding the perfect photos, I’m just sitting here at my computer pouring my heart out on the screen, just like when I first started Project Motherhood to begin with. And Project Motherhood isn’t going anywhere by any means, but my life has changed, so Project Motherhood is changing, too.
Starting in April of last year, I began working full-time for a fantastic company called Dr. Noze Best as their Digital Marketing Manager and I’m loving every second of it. In fact, I get to use all the skills I’ve learned over the years as a freelance writer, blogger, and content creator in my daily work. But working full-time and mommin’ full-time takes up an awful lot of time, so Project Motherhood gets the short end of the stick.
Where do we go from here?
So my little life update is this: life is good, and I’m enjoying it more offline than ever before. I feel balanced for the first time in a very long time. We are traveling more. I’m in Atlanta every quarter for work where Dr. Noze Best is headquartered. We took the kids to Cancun in September and Chris and I will be going to Vegas (for the first time!!) in April.
I’m still very much working on my weight-loss journey and am focused on health and fitness. I’m shopping more and adding new designers to my closet. I don’t say that to brag, I say that because it’s something I’ve worked really, really hard to get to a place where I can do that. Fashion is the reason that I started this blog and I plan on jumping back into that more frequently moving forward.
I’m still here, but I will be sharing less. It is what it is, right? However, I will be sharing MORE older content, because I’ve spent a lot of time over the years creating content that is evergreen and will impact you all the same as when it was first published.
I am still writing and still posting, however, I’m being very choosy about the projects I take on. You will still see me and the Cooper fam taking on sponsorships here and there (this is how I pay for hosting and keep the website live, after all), but it will be less. I’m also being incredibly choosy about the brands that I decide to work with. It has to be something that I believe in and has to make sense for me and my family.
You might see more of the things I love! I’m hoping to start sharing a monthly fashion edit and sharing more of the beauty products that I am currently using as part of my everyday rotation. Make sure you follow on Facebook and Instagram to catch my favorites with some discount codes!
I might get to some old-school blogging. I have to admit that it felt nice just now sitting and writing without worrying about how many pageviews this post will get. I want to share more of the raw and find pleasure in writing again. Stay tuned!
I will be taking on guest posts for a very select few people who I trust. I have a few people who you will start to see share some great motherhood and lifestyle content in the upcoming months. Now, I don’t need my inbox flooded with guest posting requests (they will be deleted), I’m being choosy with the people I introduce to my audience, too.
I hope you enjoyed reading my little life update over here. I hope that after all of these years, you are still very much along for this ride with me – I wouldn’t be anywhere without you!
XOXO,
Allison

I’m right there with you. Working full time and being a parent is hard! I’ve sorely neglected my writing.
