Over the past few years, I’ve found myself paying even closer attention to the products I use every day.

If you read my recent post about the latest clean beauty study, you know why.

The study sparked important conversations about ingredient exposure, personal care products, and how the choices we make every day can add up over time. While I don’t believe in fear-based beauty marketing, I do believe in being informed.

As women, we use countless products on our skin throughout our lives. And as I get closer to 40, I’ve become more intentional about finding products that not only perform well but also align with my goal of living a healthier lifestyle.

One question I received after publishing that article was:

“What products do you actually use?”

Today, I’m sharing exactly that.

This isn’t a sponsored post. These are simply the products that have earned a permanent place in my skincare routine through consistent use and real results.

How I Discovered My Favorite Clean Beauty Products

Last summer, I spent time working at a local spa, and honestly, it completely changed the way I looked at skincare.

The spa carried the Eminence Organics product line, and while I had heard wonderful things about the brand before, I hadn’t personally experienced many of the products.

As someone who has worked in beauty, fashion, and content creation for years, I’m naturally skeptical of products that promise dramatic results.

But after using these products daily and learning more about the ingredients behind them, I understood why they have such a loyal following.

More importantly, my skin loved them.

Now, more than a year later, several of those same products are still part of my daily routine. That says a lot because I have access to countless skincare products and could easily move on to the next new thing.

Instead, I’ve found products that work and continue to support my skin as I move through my late thirties.

My Morning Clean Beauty Routine

Step 1: Eminence Tulsi & Snow Mushroom Cleansing Milk

cleansing milk

Every morning starts with the Eminence Tulsi & Snow Mushroom Cleansing Milk.

Unlike the harsh cleansers I used in my twenties, this cleanser feels incredibly gentle and nourishing. It removes any residue from overnight while leaving my skin soft, hydrated, and balanced.

One of the biggest skincare lessons I’ve learned is that healthy skin doesn’t need to feel stripped after cleansing.

In fact, the older I get, the more important hydration becomes.

This cleanser gives me a fresh start each morning without leaving my skin tight or dry.

After cleansing, I apply the Eminence Organic Skin Care Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum, and honestly, this has become one of my favorite products in my entire routine.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that hydration is one of the biggest factors in maintaining healthy, glowing skin. This serum delivers lightweight hydration without feeling sticky or heavy.

The combination of strawberry, rhubarb, and hyaluronic acid helps leave my skin looking plump, refreshed, and well-hydrated throughout the day.

What I love most is that it layers beautifully under moisturizer and sunscreen while giving my skin an extra boost of moisture.

If you’re dealing with dryness, dullness, or simply want your skin to feel more hydrated, this is a product I would absolutely recommend looking into.

Step 3: Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as I approach 40, it’s that expensive skincare means very little if you’re skipping sunscreen.

Every single morning I apply Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF 50.

Now, I’ll be transparent here.

This isn’t marketed as a fully clean beauty product. However, after researching numerous SPF options, I feel it’s a much better choice than many conventional products currently on the market.

It provides excellent sun protection, wears beautifully under makeup, and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin.

Most importantly, it helps protect all the work I’m doing with the rest of my skincare routine.

Daily SPF is one skincare habit I wish I had taken more seriously when I was younger.

Many cleansing oils can leave behind a greasy residue, but this one doesn’t. Instead, it leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and ready for the next steps in my routine.

If I could only recommend one cleansing product from the Eminence line, this would be very high on my list.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the importance of giving the delicate skin around my eyes a little extra attention.

Each evening I apply the ANNEMARIE BORLIND Natuneo Lifting Eye Cream.

I love how rich and hydrating it feels without being heavy.

The skin around our eyes is often one of the first places we notice signs of aging, lack of sleep, stress, and dehydration.

This eye cream has become a simple but important part of my nighttime routine.

If I had to choose a single holy grail product from my routine, it would probably be the Eminence Ashwagandha Ultra-Rich Restorative Cream.

I’ve been using this moisturizer consistently for over a year now, and I genuinely don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.

As women move through their late thirties and forties, many of us begin noticing changes in our skin’s hydration levels and overall texture.

This cream delivers the deep moisture my skin craves without feeling overly heavy.

I apply it every night before bed, and when I wake up the next morning, my skin feels soft, nourished, and healthy.

For me, it’s one of those rare products that truly lives up to the hype.

Why My Clean Beauty Routine Changed

The biggest shift in my skincare philosophy happened when I stopped chasing perfection.

For years, I was constantly trying new products, searching for some magical solution that would make my skin look completely different.

Now, my goal is much simpler.

I want healthy skin.

I want hydrated skin.

I want products that support aging gracefully rather than trying to fight every single sign of getting older.

After reading more research, learning about ingredients, and becoming more educated about skincare, I realized that clean beauty doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

It isn’t about perfection.

It isn’t about throwing away everything you own.

It’s about making informed choices.

It’s about understanding what you’re putting on your skin and choosing products that align with your personal values and goals.

For me, these five products have become the foundation of a routine that feels simple, effective, and sustainable.

As I get closer to 40, I’ve become much more interested in taking care of myself than trying to turn back the clock.

I want to feel good.

I want healthy skin.

I want products that help support the life I’m living now.

This routine has helped me do exactly that.

And while everyone’s skin is different, I hope sharing my personal experience gives you a starting point if you’re looking to build a more intentional clean beauty routine of your own.
