Let’s be real here: there’s not too much that a little, little baby needs, but once they hit one it’s more about what can keep them busy for more than 5 minutes, right? Here’s my official guide to shopping for babies ages infant through age three. Many of these items we have gotten Blake and other babies in our lives and they have been a huge success. And some things have just helped me keep my sanity! Please check out all of our gift guides here and if you missed yesterday’s guide for mom, you can find that here – have fun shopping and leave a comment telling me what you bought! XOXO
1. Wooden Block Set
I love a classic wooden block set and this one is exactly that, except targeted for younger kiddos. It’s the perfect way to make play time more innovative and really get those imagination juices flowing.
2. Fisher-Price Think & Learn Smart Cycle
This is just perfection – especially if you love cycling yourself! It’s a great way to keep them active indoors on chilly days and work on their motor skills at the same time!
3. Everything Is Mama
Written by Jimmy Fallon, this book is too sweet not to share. Everything really is mama and this makes for the perfect bedtime read for your babe.
4. Manhattan Toy Tree Top Adventure Activity Center
As soon as your toddler is walking they’re into EVERYTHING and this helps keep them contained in one place for at least a handful of minutes at one time (mom win!). It’s super cute and will keep them occupied and away from looking for trouble while they dip into their imaginative play skills.
5. Little Tikes Easy Score Basketball Set
Whether you keep this outdoors or indoors it’s really so much fun for your wee ones (bonus points if they have an older sibling that’s into the same thing!). So many energy burning opportunities!
6. Marshmallow Furniture, Children’s 2 in 1 Flip Open Foam Sofa
We had one of these for Branden and we’re getting a Minnie Mouse version for Blake (it just arrived this week actually). They are perfect for them to sit and watch their favorite movie while snuggling against and makes nap time even easier because you don’t need to move them if the fall asleep. It also folds out to a bed – so much more than meets the eye!
7. Chuckle Ball, Bouncing Sensory Developmental Ball
I’m obsessed with so many different sensory activities for Blake, but this is one of our favorites and I’m sure your little one will love it, too.
8. Fisher-Price Smart Connect Deluxe Soother
Nap time might not exist in our home without a soother or noise machine. We need one extra bad living in really loud NYC with construction happening outdoors, but no matter where you live it comes in handy. I swear it prolongs nap time, but that’s just my theory!
9. Hape All Seasons Kid’s Wooden Doll House
There’s just something special about having a classic wooden doll house and this one is so sweet for both boys and girls alike.
10. LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket
We love everything Leapfrog and this is one of those things that let your kids have fun while learning at the same time. I also love how most Leapfrog items are big enough not to get lost, which is bonus points in my eyes.

11. Playskool Explore N’ Grow Busy Ball Popper
This is hands down a must-have if you’re buying for a baby in the couple of months to one year range – so much fun they will want to play and watch for hours!
12. Rollplay Porsche Macan
This is so cool and actually made for this age range! This summer Blake played with a version for older kids by riding in the passenger seat with her cousins and has been obsessed ever since. If you have a little one into cars – this is a must for spreading some extra holiday cheer!
